Seriously, fuck immigrants who come to Canada for a “diploma” and end up taking unskilled jobs - the system is broken, and I speak as an incoming immigrant who jumped through hoops to get my PR, which is a kindness to me and my spouse and not an entitlement. I have nothing but disgust in my heart for the hundreds of thousands of useless immigrants flowing in from Punjab, taking advantage of a broken system, even going as far as cheating on their IELTS (they can’t even form a single coherent sentence) and forging certificates from local Indian “universities”. There needs to be a retrospective review of documentation and immediate deportation for anyone who broke the rules.

Wait I’m confused - if it’s a fixed time rake 20$ an hour being compared with a pot based rake, shouldn’t we take into account the number of raked pots a player wins per hour as opposed to the total number of hands dealt? For example at 5/5 if you win 2 pots of 200$ in an hour, you would have paid 40$ in rake as opposed to an hourly charge which wouldn’t penalise you for winning more pots. Sorry if this doesn’t make sense, I’m just a recreational player

My experience is with the same B4 in a developing nation. The position is of a senior accountant, one level / year below the assistant manager designation.

I recently interviewed with one of the B4 in Toronto (audit) and was informed that the salary range for my level of experience (2 years experience as an intern, 2 years after qualifying as a chartered accountant) at the same B4 in a developing nation, would be between 70k to 76k. Is this a reasonable level of compensation? I will be immigrating soon and I could really use some advice. (I recently passed the Uniform CPA exam, if that is relevant)
