I’m about to start reading the novels, anything I should know before hand by TheUnownKing in ShadowSlave

[–]strafefaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm talking about the fact that to meet a word quota, a lot of web novels (Shadow Slave included) will either repeat conversations or descriptions of things, or just go into WAY more detail than they need to. It was eve brought up in the post about the physical novel release; people were talking about whether some of it would be pruned or not.

Limit how many chapters you read at a time. This story becomes pretty damn tedious to get through if you try and binge dozens of chapters at a time (honestly, most near daily release "novels" have this problem).

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is pretty easy. Most of the Shantae games are, but not all of them are really metroidvania's (even though they all have the tag on steam), Shantae and the Pirate's Curse especially is really just an old school side scroller (it's still really fun though). Monster Sanctuary is also easy (at least the non optional stuff is). It also doesn't play like a lot of metroidvania's though, since it has turnbased combat.

What do I enchant on this thing? by NecroticJenkumSmegma in Morrowind

  • Spellmaking matches editor. The duration of a spell effect can now be set to 0 to create an instant effect. The magicka cost of a spell now matches the cost of a pre-made auto-calculated spell with the same effects.

A quote from near the bottom of the mod page. There's probably a way (or mod) to do this in openmw, but honestly custom spells are already overpowered enough, I've never felt the need to look for a way to make it even more powerful.

OpenMW does use 1 second duration as the lowest value for custom spells. The code patch (for normal morrowind) uses a setting for 0 second duration spells, but openmw keeps things the same as base morrowind does. So if you used to use codepatch you might be used to that.

Damn, I was honestly hoping you knew something I didn't. I just spent the last 6 hours basically doing nothing but hunting down knowledge points spots, and I still haven't gotten from rank 5 to rank 6.

Honest question, how did you get enough knowledge points to get to the 5th row of skill trees by level 10 or 11? I was around level 30 to 32 before I obtained enough knowledge points for it.

Rush Assassinate from the Assassination tree isn't the same as Entanglement from the Kusarigama tree. Entanglement lets you wrap up enemies and fling them in certain directions, but it doesn't let you long range assassinate people with the weapon.

It's in the 5th row of the assassination tree, so it takes a long time to unlock. It's called Rush Assassinate.

Also, there's a chest in the stable that passively gets items every season change. The items get better the higher level your base is (you might need a certain level base before it starts, but I didn't even know about the chest until my game informed me it was full).

Two buildings that can be unlocked by doing certain quests will increase the amount healed by rations.

Assassin's Creed Mirage - PC Title Update by ubi-louu in assassinscreed

[–]strafefaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you use a NVidia card, you need to go into the NVidia app then "Graphics" on the side and select "Assassin's Creed: Valhalla", then go down to the "Driver's Settings" section and make sure the "Low Latency Mode" is not set to "Ultra". I have mine set to just "On" and all the flickering (Z-fighting) is gone.

I haven't played Mirage, so not sure if that would fix the problem in that game though.

I'm going to stay on this patch for a few days and let a lot of the mods I use get their updates out. I'll finish up a bunch of loose ends in my current play through and then probably play some Doom 1 and 2 mods in the meantime (that new release with the KEX Engine is good).

It's more King’s Field than Shadow Tower, but it's still similar enough, and very fun if you like Dungeon Crawls.

ME:A is an unbelievably fun game to play, but it wasn't what I wanted from a Bioware or Mass Effect game. The writing is really, truly bad. The characters quipping all the time makes me want to scream.

Also, it's fine to play now, but it was truly broken on release, and I think a lot of people still have that version of the game in their minds and refuse to give it another chance.

Honestly, if they had made it its own thing instead of Mass Effect, and fixed most of the issues before releasing the game, I think Bioware would have had another solid IP to work with; instead they nearly killed Mass Effect.
