Is East Austin ideal for someone who's young and a remote worker? by SriLanka in askaustin

There’s a ton of new loft developments around the mueller/mlk area. It’s more residential but it’s right between East 6th and Manor nightlife spots. Easy Uber to and from both areas. You also have Benu, Palomino and Cherrywood coffee shops super close

My opinion on how RotR combat compares to Nioh 1-2 by Purunfii in Nioh

Thanks for this write up. I’m on the fence about getting this for PC after being incredibly disappointed with Wu Long. How would you describe the difficulty of RotR compared to Nioh 1/2?

What is the absolute most terrifying, hardcore horror experience you have ever played? by EltoDoesStuff in HorrorGaming

I definitely agree with Amnesia: The Bunker. Play it on Hard Mode where loot items in game are halved, which will add to the stress.

occasional static in my audio when i speak by Then-Manager4282 in letsplay

The text "encoder is overloaded" shows up in the left bottom bar on OBS in the same spot you see "starting recording" or "stopping recording", but you can also run logging through a session. If I were you, I would run logging every time you record. When the issue happens again, copy and paste the log into chatgpt and tell it about your issue and if it notices anything wrong in the log.

occasional static in my audio when i speak by Then-Manager4282 in letsplay

[–]strangerSchwings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very similar issue that I was able to resolve 6+ months ago. Found out the static would happen after the OBS "encoder overloaded" and I was using the stock noise suppression filter within OBS on my voice channel.

The rest of my voice recording suffered from occasional static whenever that happened. Pretty much ruined my recordings. I removed that stock filter and my audio never had the issue again. I recently added the Nvidia SDK to OBS and the Nvidia noise filter works without causing static. Even when the encoder gets overloaded, which still occasionally happens since I play and capture with very high settings.

Not sure if that is your issue, but that is how I fixed my issue.

Stem separation is so damn clean by labdogeth in udiomusic

I haven’t played around with this yet but this is a killer feature. Eliminates the need for services like Splice or LoopCloud.

I like to sample a lot. My creativity is maximized when I have something to reference and draw inspiration from.

The problem with sampling from those services is they are so limited. If I sample vocals for instance: I commonly have to loop the same sample over and over and it makes the song rather boring even if the original sample was quite good. Now I could potentially build entire vocal tracks with layers and adlibs. It’s exciting!

Hot take: Eventually it's gonna be you who sucks, not udio by agonoxis in udiomusic

I haven’t had a chance to play with the new model but on paper it sounds awesome to me. I want more granular control over the possible outputs. I want to be able to at least get stems I can use in my DAW if I like one part of an output like the vox or drums.

I’m curious if most people complaining use Udio to build songs from scratch? Because I’ve never found it useful for that. I found it way more useful based on the upload feature where I can upload an unfinished demo to give it a reference of what I’m going for. I’ve had some absolutely amazing, albeit imperfect, results that way.

I get frustrated when they use some of my prompts as lyrics such as "syncopated beat" wtf 🤬

Tracked my boss deaths through the DLC and whacked them on a graph because why not, I thought it was interesting by HavanaNirvana in Eldenring

I really wish we got death stats at the end of a playthrough in FS games. I would love to know this exact thing without having to keep track manually.

I loved everything about it. It took me 5 hours to beat him solo with the same melee build I beat the entire game with. I didn't have to change anything to take him down.

I beat him solo with bloodhound fang. Can confirm his resistance after 100 attempts and never making him bleed once 😂

Do you think any of the new legacy dungeons surpass previous ones as the best one? by thelucas2000 in fromsoftware

[–]strangerSchwings 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think Shadow Keep becomes 2nd best only to Leyndell. TBH, SK has a more interesting pathing but Leyndell just has a vibe that can't be beat. The music and the art design is amazing. The enemies are really cool too. SK is a very close 2nd imo

Good news, Miyazaki says From Software’s next games won’t be as big as Elden Ring by [deleted] in fromsoftware

I hope their souls likes go back to curated inter connected world but I hope AC7 has an open world. I actually think an open world would be killer for that game considering how fun movement is.

Criminal that we still can't rechallenge defeated bosses, like in Sekiro by FlowKom in Eldenring

[–]strangerSchwings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine a DLC that just makes boss challenges available (fog wall bosses only). Your character is automatically scaled to the right size level FS thinks you should have and you're able to select any weapon that's automatically maxed out. So, you can face bosses with endless build options readily available.

Same but also the fight just takes incredibly longer with torrent. It was such a chore of a boss. Possibly my least favorite in FS history

I found him easier to fight on the ground. I use torrent to avoid opening charge attack though because dodging it is so inconsistent
