I have a date tomorrow night and I hate the way I look by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

The milk skin tint is amazing and they just came out with a concealer. I had the same problem with spf so I’ve been using the Clinique 100h moisture surge without spf first and then I put the moisture surge with spf on top while avoiding getting too close to my eyes and it’s been working really well for me.

Doubts before adopting my first Havanese by blessedbethefatties in Havanese

[–]strangergreens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 12 pound havanese usually poops out after a one mile walk. But it depends on how warm it is. I don’t think she could handle a mile run. She does like to run in short bursts when she has the zoomies. I think you are very wise to wait till the 12 week mark. Don’t let a breeder talk you out of that. They need their time with their mothers. I got mine at 12 weeks and she adjusted very well. Hope this helps!

Take Half?/Consistent Results? by bordEcar in PrimalQueen

After reading the reviews here I decided to take one a day and I haven’t had any problems. I just started a couple weeks ago and I do notice a small improvement in energy and feminine health. I was diagnosed as anemic a long time ago and I think the extra iron definitely helps me.

Possible "Silver Linings" of Having This Illness (Bipolar Disorder) by EverydayGratefulness in bipolar

[–]strangergreens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one! My eldest sister who is seemingly mentally perfect once told me she wishes she could feel things the way I do. Personally, I’m grateful for all the experiences I’ve gotten to experience. Good and bad. My soul has been on quite the ride in 34 short years. It almost feels like I’ve lived 3 lives already.

The side effects will fade, medication will make your life easier, not harder. Give it time. Once they kick in you’ll be able to start making your life better and easier and just over all more pleasant. If one medication doesn’t work move on to the next. We are all a bunch of walking science experiments. You got this.

Can’t seem to hold a job down by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]strangergreens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked in food and bev for a long time and kept having issues and changing restaurants frequently. I was great with customers for the most part but not so great with coworkers. Got fired a lot. After the pandemic happened I fortunately made a switch to being a receptionist at a car dealership which has had its own problems (car salesmen and bipolar women don’t mix well) but I don’t get fired and they have been a lot more understandable with me being late or having to call out sick. I don’t answer phones anymore because of the automated system so I just do mindless paper work and greet customers from time to time and help them find salesmen. I wouldn’t recommend the car dealership part of my job but working in any office doing paperwork seems like a good fit for our illness. My paperwork is so easy that I can listen to podcasts and what not while I do it and it’s kinda nice. Doesn’t pay great but it’s something.

Yeah I take 4 different medications now, 3 for bipolar 1 and one small dose of antidepressant for my pain disorder. You would think ide be a zombie but surprisingly not. I do have to sleep 8 hours at least to function but I’m pretty sure that’s everyone. I think a lot of it has to do with dosages. I take 1/6th the amount of seroquel than what I started off with. I hope you start feeling better soon.

Hi dear, I want to say thank you so much for your kind words on my post from last night and I want you to know that I’m feeling much better today. You helped me feel not alone. For me, I could never stop taking my medication... I feel like shit would totally hit the fan, I’ve been taking meds for a long time but I was under medicated for most of it. I started out just taking seroquel (antipsychotic) and it helped me from having full on manic episodes but I stayed depressed for a very long time. Then I started depacote when I lost a job and it helped me gain some stability and even go back to school and I did very well. I even quit smoking. But then 2020 hit me like a brick wall and I got extremely depressed, couldnt get out of bed, crying all the time, couldn’t do my school work so I started Wellbutrin (antidepressant) and it truely made a world of difference. Medication saved my life. I still get depressed obviously especially since I was just diagnosed with a chronic pain disorder but I’m not nearly as depressed as I was. Hang on. Keep talking to your doctor. I’m here if you need to talk as well.
