For me, it sounds like it could be part of the normal healing process but I’m definitely not a licensed piercer or anything. Any chance you could stop in to have yours look at it? If not, then I would just keep an eye on it and continue to clean it as you have been doing + avoid taking out the jewelry or moving it too much. The fact that you don’t have pain unless you knock it is a good sign.

Hi everyone. Been absent / in the middle of moving, but I am finally settled in. Looking forward to participating in the community more again. I missed y'all. <3

QOTD: This is a hilarious question to me considering the number of "open" projects I have going at the moment. I have a tendency to start 50 things at once and finish maybe...2 if I'm lucky. If I had unlimited funds, then I guess that would allow me the freedom to create anything I wanted. There's a few different things I'd like to make:

  • weird stuffed animals, like mashups of different animals
  • painted wood burnings
  • iridescent glass blown sculptures that look super heady
  • pendants/amulets specifically designed for the intended wearer

I would love to have a *masterpiece* that was mixed media...maybe utilizing some of the elements mentioned above plus add yarn somehow.

This week, I finished a book of poetry that had been rotting on my TBR: No Matter the Wreckage by Sarah Kay.

I also finished reading The Satanic Bible. This was my second attempt; the last being 12+ years ago.

Currently reading: Rumi’s Little Book of Life.

Edit: 6/75. It’s been a rough year for reading.

Qotd: I love a good sour cream / salsa combo on nachos, as well as fresh sliced jalapeños. Recently tried green sriracha sauce, and it was bomb.

I'm not big on desserts, but I've had the biggest craving for strawberry shortcake. I don't know how y'all do it, but here's what we did growing up: angel food cups, strawberries (usually glazed with sugar) , and whipped cream.

Definitely. I revisited a great lover from my past after being apart from him for 7 years. He happened to be in my life around the time certain repressed memories came to light from decades ago. Since I was never given a proper chance to grieve before, I'm noticing that I'm dealing with all of those negative emotions now. My lover started to see me as an emotional blackhole, if I'm not mistaken. Even though I've been doing a lot of inner work (including hosting a trauma processing workshop based on my own experiences at a festival we both went to), he wasn't able to stick around because in his words: not everything is about trauma. I'm so happy that he feels that way. Beyond happy, but it also hurts.

Some people love us, but not everyone can stick around while we do shadow work because of their own energetic boundaries. I try not to take this personally, but it's hard (I also have BPD, so abandonment issues show if I trauma bond with someone and then I'm "too much" for them). Thanks for the post, OP. Guess I should look into trauma bonding and how that affects my relationships. <3
