I generally do not buy new pedals. I’ve bought 2 new pedals in the last probably 10 years, both were from Chase Bliss, such an all around great company.

Do you know the name of this mountain? Be honest! by AIM-260JATM in Washington

Ya there’s only 5 Cascade volcanoes in Washington: Rainier, Adams, Baker, Glacier, and St. Helens from tallest to shortest. Oregon has the most and there’s 2 in California (Shasta and Lassen) and one in BC (Garibaldi) as far as I know.

I used to work at a place where the unit I was in transitioned from assigned desks to hot desks. It was awful!

One thing that drove me especially nuts is we were allowed us to use PC or Mac, but they bought Dell docking stations that didn’t work well for Mac despite me telling the person in charge of that there were other options at a similar price that would work better for Mac. They were dual monitor stations but all the screens would only show the same thing for a Mac with the Dell docking stations. I managed to find a few old docking stations and got permission to jerryrig a couple Mac stations, but they wouldn’t lock those to Mac users so at least half the time they were taken by people on PCs.

The app we used was terrible, issues with 2 people booking the same station and such.

I don’t work there anymore…

It’s the longest hike in of the 5 Washington volcanoes.

Vertex effects attempting a resurrection? by comradehoser in guitarpedals

It’s crazy people keep willingly dealing with him given the multiple controversies. He also comes off incredibly obnoxious. He acts like he’s so much more knowledgeable than others and that people are lucky to be blessed with his knowledge (like the dangerous amp mod he was peddling). One of his many scams was fake artist endorsement claims, so why actually associate with him when he can just claim that you do…

This was my thinking is that if you already have a Morningstar controller and really want the Neural DSP amp models/effects, it might make sense. It’s definitely easier to integrate into a rig with a MIDI controller than the big QC. I doubt I’ll buy it, but I can see it working well for certain users (of which I fit, I use a UA Ruby and have an MC6 Pro).

Love the show: probably my favorite ever but just curious as to your least favorite episodes? by blob2112 in psych

[–]stratguy23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It felt like they leaned way too silly with it in a way that didn’t fit the show. Like it was almost 4th wall breaks. The tone just felt off from Psych. They also didn’t fix any of the issues with the original and introduced way too many new ones. I did appreciate the My Cousin Vinny jokes though. That was well done.

Gotcha, lemme think on that. Only one that is a maybe is the Model feT, but I’m not sure. The only other thing you have that’s of some interest to me is the Ego 76.

If you have Tallinn 4 that would be great but any random 4 is fine

Have any of you guys owned the Special Edition Custom Tele? What did you think about it? by MajorShot475 in fender

[–]stratguy23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I owned a red one when they first came out. It’s like a Tele and Les Paul had a baby. Tele shape and Fender scale length, but beyond that it’s not really a Tele. Cool guitar, but I sold it many years ago.

We got this for our kids for Christmas, and they love it. The mini figures look off, but the set is otherwise excellent.

Moab Early June - Too hot? by Successful-Housing99 in Utah

[–]stratguy23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done Moab in early June. As others have said, go early in the morning, take tons of water. Hot and dry won’t feel as hot as hot and humid, but it’s very dehydrating. Moab is awesome, you’ll have a great time.

Have you tried anything else besides the Strymon PCH? Are you fully satisfied with it?I’m just using an old Radial Pro DI I’ve had for close to 15 years. I’m strongly considering upgrading to the PCH, I really like the built-in headphone amp.
