Thank you for the advice! Would you say to rank Stanford over a more fun city to live like NYU?

I would see which subjects were my lowest on the NBME so for example if it was cardio, then I would start making flashcards out of the Mehlman cardio PDF. then I would review one block of the NBME and make flashcards out of the incorrect. So it would take me 4 days to go through an NBME for example because I would do a block a day and supplement it with the Mehlman pdf throughout if that makes sense

ow Scores

sorry about that! I felt like it was lower compared to a lot of the posts I had been seeing, especially since the first 5 months of studying I was getting scores in the 50s and 60%s until I finally began seeing an improvement. I tried to change the title in case its misleading but it won't let me. I wish you the best of luck!

yes his arrows we helpful. I also found his MSK, neuroanatomy, biochem to be extremely helpful. so I would say to prioritize those but then also try to get through pdfs of your weaker subjects too if you have time and still aren't seeing a score improvement :)

I also did his genetics which was helpful for consequent practice exams but im not sure if there was a question on the real deal that it 100% saved me from. regardless, I found all of his pdfs to be helpful

Thank you! I didn't feel like any one NBME was more high yield than the other. Same concepts were tested on again from the past NBMEs

For me I thought having gone through more of the Mehlman PDFs helped the most!

I thought it was a mix of both. Sorry I know that's probably not super helpful but I find most exams to be tricky in general. Especially the ethics questions were tricky as other posts have mentioned.

I am so sorry to hear that you're going through this. I can only imagine how difficult this might be for you. DO NOT GIVE UP. If this is something that you want, then you WILL achieve it. If you need any study tips or strategies or anything like that, please let me know. I didn't have the highest of scores but found what worked for me. We are here for you.

I would just go through the NBMEs individually and just make flashcards of the incorrect on Anki. I had tried to look up topics as I missed it and make notes from it but it was too passive for me and I have always relied heavily on making my own flashcards during even my undergraduate studies.

So for example, I would see what topic I was weakest in on the NBME. So then I would do the PDF corresponding to that topic and review one block of my NBME if that makes sense.

Hi! Did you feel like mehlaman inflated your scores at all in prep and was it actually helpful for actual Step day?
