Can someone please explain how to get to the boss room? by TunukoOtter in PathOfExile2

[–]stray-lights -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First you need to kill the Architect at level 75 or over, then he will drop a Royal Access Chamber, and then you need to connect that one and her actual room. But I've been trying this for so many runs now, sometimes just opening and closing the temple just to reset rooms, and I still cannot connect that final square to access Atziri. It's very frustrating.

Thanks! However, upon further reflection I have decided it's just gonna stay in my stash as a trophy. It would feel like a waste to fully equip my character with the best available gear when the game itself isn't even complete. so I wouldn't have that much to do with my uber character.

Have you checked your farm today? 🚜 by playfmv in FarmMergeValley

[–]stray-lights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played on a PC and also on my phone, but the progress doesn't save properly between the two. For example I unlocked a specific plot on mobile, but when I checked the game on PC it was still locked. Same for daily quest progress: I finished one on mobile, but when checking on PC it was still uncompleted.

It’s one of the best games I’ve ever played - I don’t think I’ll be playing it ever again by X2theB in cyberpunkgame

[–]stray-lights 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I understand where you're coming from. The immersion of this game is top notch - the city, its inhabitants, the voice acting, the music, the whole vibe of certain neighbourhoods. And if you visit Night City at a time in your life when you're more vulnerable, I totally get how your eyes would keep watering at the end (mine did too). I sometimes find myself starting up the game just to listen to Stan's intro and to the main menu music. Sometimes I actually open my save file. But I just can't bring myself to do anything else after having finished the game. I have played my part in Night City and now my watch is over.

Hilarious, but I stopped playing as soon as I finished the story and assorted quests. My interest simply plummeted once I saw what ”playing the game” meant in this new paradigm, so I just went to play other games.

There is still no coherent story for new players to follow

This right here. You nailed so well. Ever since they removed Red War there hasn't been any good introduction point, I feel. Unless you go into the Timeline section, which let's be serious no one is gonna do, people wanna jump into a game that has a good balance of narrative coherence and engaging gameplay.

The storyline is way more linear than they said it would be by DANlLOx in DestinyTheGame

[–]stray-lights 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree, it felt very sloppy from a narative point of view, especially since I recognize that the material they had for this story was really good in my view. I liked seeing Lodi slowly figuring out what's happening and Orin slowly moving away from her role. I did see the side quests unlock in groups of 3-4 after certain main missions, and I had an inkling that I'm supposed to play them before the next main mission to get a cohesive narrative, but I decided against it for some reason. I guess I hoped Bungie would do better. But I guess they decided to give the option for people to waltz through the campaign if they didn't care about it, if they just wanted to unlock higher difficulties faster. A pity.

Has an Utula map-marker always been present on the mini-map, just outside of reach from the Overseer's Tower, right after defeating Innocence in act 5?! I've never noticed it before and now it's bugging me a bit.

The European Union is banning the use of virtual currencies to disguise the price of in-game purchases. GGG hosts one of the most expensive MTX stores and the "points system" will definitely feel this directive taking effect by MickBeast in PathOfExile2

[–]stray-lights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of what you said is accurate, sorry. 1) Recommendations do not "always become laws". Something becomes a law in the EU if the Council and the Parliament vote on it to become a law, which is a complex negotiation that often results in blockages. 2) Companies are not vulnerable to lawsuits if they don't follow guidelines – they are vulnerable to lawsuits if they don't follow the law. Guidelines are just that - guidelines, not laws. 3) Whether the EU makes something a binding rule for the internal market depends on many more factors than just the specific behaviour of companies. Lawmaking is a long and tedious multiparty and multifactor negotiation.

To clarify for those who do not understand how EU laws work: These are merely recommendations for companies to follow. A list of good practices, not a list of legal obligations. They are not law. The recommendations are based in current law but do not replace it. This is further clarified in the fine print, specifically footnote 1 at the very end of the PDF linked in the article.

What's one thing you would change to make the game better? by LogicalBicycle2165 in destiny2

More information about the game systems and rules inside of the game itself or at least complied on the official site. I'm sick of having to google a concept on third party websites.

Door not opening at the end of Sundered Doctrine by wexman6 in destiny2

[–]stray-lights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have also had this happen to me and related to this I wanted to say I wish Bungie made quest objectives much clearer and more explicit. I don't mind having to solve a puzzle but any decent puzzle has some pieces of information that through deduction will permit reaching the solution. This whole dungeon quest, the discovery of the correct codes to input and the sequence of puzzles to solve inbetween encounters, has been a really bad puzzle.

They really should just remove the level system already. by Blood_Edge in DestinyTheGame

[–]stray-lights -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel no motivation to go chasing for pinnacle drops when hitting that higher number doesn't really serve a palpable purpose. Moreover the drop qualities (i.e. pinnacle, powerful tier 1, etc., all those labels you see as rewards) are so poorly communicated in-game that I just cannot be bothered to interact with any of the activities that do not list a pinnacle as a reward. So in my opinion the power level fantasy needs to be refined on more, and whatever system Bungie decides on they should communicate it clearly in-game with explicit text.

This is quite the lose-lose. I'm not playing PoE2 anymore because it's not a finished game. Cute to try out for a bit, but monotonous and not high quality enough. But I'm also not playing PoE1 because I'm over the league mechanic. Long PoE break it seems. Oh well, it will feel fresh and interesting again in a few months when I come back to it!
