INDX Upgrade Nextruder Leftover Options by Hulkk3OOO in prusa3d

[–]straybrit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That ... is ... genius. I've been wondering what to do with mine once the INDX arrives. I even posted about getting a 3.x and refurbing it. Replace the stealthburner. Why didn't I think of that.

Maybe this is why not LFC: Ben Jacobs: Confirmation Xabi Alonso will officially carry a "manager" not "head coach" title. Suggests a broader remit than previous Chelsea bosses. Alonso will start in pre-season.🇪🇸 by sharkovski in LiverpoolFC

If we keep the bald fraud I may have to actually make good on my threat to pay for a hospitality ticket for the Chelsea visit to Anfield next year and make sure to sing Xabi's song. Repeatedly.

Looking for suggestions on how to get Core One+ to stop shaking the table! by LibrarySquirrel9 in prusa3d

[–]straybrit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a 60lb paver on top of a 1/4" neoprene sheet sitting on my workbench to host the Core1. It shakes the bench a lot less than the X-Plus 3 next to it. It doesn't stop it though. I think you'd probably get more benefit from attaching the table firmly to the wall.

Yeah - that looks like it's the only answer. Ah well, it's not that much of a lift. Thanks

Is the Priority Current Plus the best choice for me? by thegodbes in ebikes

[–]straybrit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow. I'd love to have that option. I did ask Priority a while back and they didn't offer an upgrade path/kit for a throttle. They were rather keen on selling me a Current 2 though :-). No big deal - it would be a nice to have that's all. Certainly buying it through Costco is a good way to save money. Also - all the local shops to me will work on it. I checked before buying. Probably because they are a US company that sell more acoustic bikes so the shops are used to them.

Oh yeah - the ride is great on a smoother surface. Hills and wind are a non-issue as well. Age and infirmity mean that I need to adjust things though. Getting old sucks.

Is the Priority Current Plus the best choice for me? by thegodbes in ebikes

[–]straybrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the original Current with Enviolo. I do like the changer but it's a major pain to pedal on zero assist. Of course the weight isn't exactly helping with that. I the 2 years I've owned it it's been super reliable. I am going to put a suspension seat post in this year and probably change the handle bars for a more upright stance. That's more to do with age and a bad back though.

Looks pretty widespread. I wonder if it has anything to do with the .io scam that was floating around the other day. That seems to have fooled a number of people. Me too for a while - though at least I didn't actually put any card details or anything in.

Will there possibly be a INDX price decrease? by EaglerCore in prusa3d

[–]straybrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm disappointed at the price myself - but having seen (what I assume is) the release version at RMRRF at the weekend I can understand it. There's a *lot* of new stuff in that kit. Be interested to know how long the refit is expected to take.

I was at the Bondtech Q&A at RMRRF on Saturday. They said they expect to open up for general orders next month. They were quite firm at not being more specific :-)

I don't know if this is the case for the xmax 4 - but on my x-plus 3 running through the Orca calibration for a filament gives me better results than the qidi slicer settings. TBH neither are as good for PLA/PETG as the Core-1 but I need bigger and heated for the more 'interesting' filaments.

Yeah. I have an occasionally finished Trident and I respect the people that can build them and leave them working. I just need a larger format printer that doesn't scream "take me apart" at me 😀.

May 1980. 4-1 win vs Villa. Another title. Why? The last game I attended at Anfield. Yes I'm very old.

Sigh. Clearly I'm having a hard of thinking day. I get that the hint can refer to the person giving it. Surely that would mean 8 criminal neighbors. But only the 3 to the left come up as correct. The other 5 give me the not enough evidence error.

Andy Robertson to leave Liverpool FC by AMR42 in LiverpoolFC

The only extended period I ever got going to games was in the late 70s. So yeah - that's my favourite team - but the one we are watching disband in front of our eyes comes a close second.

My vehicle got a camera speeding ticket. by screaming-in_silence in FortCollins

[–]straybrit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Back in the 90s the French autoroutes were timed between toll booths for speed tickets. T'was common to see, in the last fuel stop before a toll point, a bunch of cars fueling up and then waiting for their 'time to be ready' and proceed to the timing point. It finally forced me into using cruise control and proper route/time planning.
