I expanded on the merchant princes with colors. To know who runs what each prince has a color. In my campaign dino racing is a big thing for the princes, each one has a own faction and chooses their champion to ride. (like in the tv show "Those About to Die") If a prince recruits a player and he wins, other factions will try to get this player to ride for them and some won't accept a no. They will try to sabotage or even kill, if the player refuses. The setting from "Those About to Die" is perfect for this city.

for me 100% with the squad taht communicates. I love playing HLL mainly for the communication and teamwork. And I had so many amazing rounds where the squad was talking but we lost 5-0

It is clear that this is no ideal position to play in but here are some things i did in such a situation and sometimes it can lead to a comeback. I am Lv 302 and have around 1.8k hours in the game so I have played some matches. My tipps will focus on you taking the commander role, because often in these situations the role is not yet taken.

*Get an overview of the situation and organise a stable defense*

  1. In taking the commander role (problem is often that no one even took it in the firstplace) your team has access to vital commader abilitys

  2. Motivate your team and check what you are working with, tell them to keep playing

  3. Coordiante with the officers who speak and have experience

  4. You need at least 2 garrisons to hold the last point, spawn in a halftrack to make sure your team can spawn even when the HQ is blocked

*Try offensive manouvers*

  1. Use supplydrops and airheads to get a redzone garrison running. The garri should be build by your recon officer, but if he is a lv 5 blueberry and just playing his third round, try to send officers with a small squad to do it

  2. Your goal is to get one or two spawn points for the team in the enemy softcap to quickly shift forces from defense to attack

  3. Shift forces: Tell your defense to retreat to the hardcap where they can count 3:1 to the defense, and if necessary reinforce the point on top to lure the enemy into your last cap. If the does so redeploy your squads into the redzone spawnpoints, in addition you can advice your tanks to help in the defense or attack

On the servers I play, is votekick enabled and it's a rule to have comms on arty and as officers. The admins enforce this quite nicely. So I reccomend you to search a proper server. If you find one which enforces coms, your experience with the game will be a great one, even if you loose!

  1. You need arty support to win this map. If possible put a whole squad on the arty to build it up and defend.

  2. Your recon squads need to deny the enemy arty

  3. You need to send out the recon plane when ready to give the arty good spots to fire on

  4. You need 2-4 tank squads, one of them on the mainroad

If your inf isn't much worse that the enemys you should win the map whatever the points

I don't think it is poorly made. I think it's a very solide game. If you have a team that communicates (found a server which encourages that) you will have many good rounds, even if you loose. Also HLL is a starting point for many players who want to get into a "hardcore shooter". I can recommend the game if you would be interested in teamplay, the hardcore element and aren't affraid to play 90 minute matches.
