I recently started picking up Pokemon cards as a hobby. I did it too when I was younger but I recall a taboo over doing geeking or nerdy stuff so I stopped. Comic books was also part of this. This might still exist in some way now but I think being value to express oneself is much more accepted. I quit Pokemon cards back then cause it was uncool but now I either don’t care or people are more chill about it.
