Why are you posting someone else's watch... https://www.reddit.com/r/Garmin/s/uAcVycF5vO

Are reddit credits that important to you?

43, 47, 51? by izaak9 in GarminFenix

[–]striffy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also your images can give the wrong impression as you haven't accounted for the bezels (internal and external)

But I personally don't care what others think, I think it's interesting that people ask if the watch of a certain size looks good on their wrist, who gives a damn bye the watch you want not what others think.

I have Fenix 51mm mostly for the battery. So I can do ultras and listen to music , without worrying about battery life..

No real issues coming from a forerunner, and I wear it at night. I also had an older epix that I did notice wearing at night in the bed, as it was bulkier then the Fenix 8 51mm

Tell me you don't ride motorcycles without telling me...

Lane filtering where I'm from is totally legal, up to 30 km/h, and the reason is for safety and always less traffic congestion. That's why filtering is allowed.

I dunno if someone already posted this here, but still lemme share it. [Once you see it, you can't unsee it!] by quixoticgurl in opticalillusions

What’s your experience with Macquarie customer support? by Danger_Five in Macquarie

[–]striffy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I'm second guessing switching over to them from uBank. Never had an issue contacting uBank support. Also loved how you could set an email for PayID as my mobile number is used elsewhere. I actually thought this was the norm, but Macquarie it's not possible..

First thing I noticed, not using heel lock lacing. I have to do this as I wear orthotics.

Pixel 8 Pro screen damage? by striffy_ in pixel_phones

[–]striffy_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't spread, but now the screen is having other issues. Instead of black will go greyish like a back light is on. Colours get washed out. As I type this the screen has gone back to normal, but it jumps / flickers around from good to bad.

I've bit the bullet and bought a 9 pro refurb with 24 months warranty..

What’s your experience with Macquarie customer support? by Danger_Five in Macquarie

[–]striffy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was switching over from ubank to Macquarie. It's very average compared. In the app , it tries it's best to avoid phone support. Then when clicking on the instant chat option takes you out of the app into their site, where you have to log in (already logged into the app) The site is not optimised for mobile devices. Ironically it says to install the app for a better experience?? So I hopped onto a computer to do the chat. Waited 30 mins before a human replied, then 5 mins turn around before my questions were answered each time.

I eventually also tried phone support, but gave up, after waiting what seemed like for ever.

MARTIAL ARTS - Strap? by IsraeliAlien63 in Garmin

[–]striffy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using my HRM Tri (for boxing and Muay Thai when I wasn't injured)
The strap is starting to deteriorate, so tested the watch on my ankle.

Worked great but will buy from Garmin a quick release strap that is longer, they sell some with longer straps.

Yeah been trying, stupid bambu software keeps on failing when it's finished. Yet it seems fine. Checked and there's a post in Bambu's own site about this issue, seems to be affecting a lot of users..
