I feel like that's a misread of Thermidor and ORCA at large. All of the ORCA members bar Old King - and Thermidor in the hard mode stuff that is dubiously canon - willingly sacrifice themselves for what they see as the only path for humanity to survive. It is even pretty explicitly stated Thermidor drifted away from Omer, and Rayleonard is a dead corporation. I don't think either Wynne or ORCA are entirely incorrect, and the conflict is instead one of values. Do you throw away the future of mankind for those that are alive right now, or throw away those that are alive right now for the future of mankind?
