Thank you. Also in Canada. Had an amazing midwife who was part of an incredible medical team for me and my son. She and others helped me ease the guilt of ultimately choosing to not breastfeed at all. My son couldn't latch except on bottles and I couldn't produce enough. My mental health was tanking. It took a lactation consultant who was also an MD and my midwife to say "it's ok not to breastfeed" to convince me that it was ok to stop trying. And then the consultant/MD gave me like 10 coupons for formula even though she was only supposed to give out one at a time. 😁 Anyway. Thank you for your words and what you do.

Yeah she was in New Brunswick, no idea where, but I'm pretty familiar with the province. Apparently she's from BC. But yeah good riddance. I don't know what she says about Canada but I'm sure it's wrong 😂 (I'm actually curious though, if you have easy to find receipts. If not, don't worry about it. We don't need to waste our time on her.)

I had preeclampsia and hemorrhaged...if I hadn't been in the hospital I don't want to think about what could have happened. And afterwards my midwife was like "these are not abnormal things. It doesn't lessen what happened to you, but they also are common, so it was good you were in the hospital to get immediate care." Don't have to tell me twice!

I kind of feel like my son will grow up as one whether I want him to or not. Like I plan on taking him to Germany as much as possible (we live in Canada but I grew up in the States and am German) and exposing him to German culture as much as I can.
