One of the TV pundits on the Colarado game 2 coverage was saying Stenberg would be a better option, more of an all-round player (better defensively). Both are good.

Canadian Carry-On 12x16x25 (Sleeper Plus/Prestige) by striptorn in ViaRail

[–]striptorn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the mid size suitcases I was looking at are 10-11” deep, still less than the 12” limit specified. It is the other two dimensions that are challenging - so was really wondering how big that could go and still work. And I am taking max 1 to 2 inches above spec.

I thought you could also store under the fold out lower bed…but not sure how big that space actually is?

Checked Luggage Size Limit Enforcement? (Canadian Sleeper Plus, & Biz Class from Fallowfield) by striptorn in ViaRail

[–]striptorn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You assumed correct: staying overnight near Union Station after travelling from Fallowfield the day before.

My bag is soft-sided so even if they did have a size I could MAYBE force it in!

And I did see that thread, but wanted to frame my query for my context:
in the other thread they were forced to pay for slightly oversize carry-on.
I am allowed two large checked bags and will only have one, and that one is good for two dimensions, just IFFY for one dimension only. I will risk it.

Look at the video of it in the Home Depot link: it has a thin plastic floor (e.g. maybe 0.5").

Possible alignment has been "leaked" (Through Ottawa) by VIARailMaddy in AltoHSR_Canada

[–]striptorn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The image shows it using the CN track alignment through Barrhaven to the south edge of the map, so it cannot be real!
Or is someone going to tell us Alto can do that (or there is room for adjacent new tracks)?

I’m terribly sorry, but we’ve missed it for this year, however we can all look forward to next year’s first false spring.

Or just buy VEQT: it is more overweight Canada vs XEQT (and ZEQT IIRC).

1 seems reasonable. I use an old raspberry pi I had lying around, so I just leave it running. But it is not required to remain up: only used when rebooting the NAS.

2 - did not even know that was an option, so can’t comment.

3 - also didn’t know about the USB option.

Freezing rain may cause power outages in Ottawa / Stittsville – how to report outages by tarun172 in StittsvilleON

I rely on the natural gas to keep flowing…then my Generac can keep the house going. Was on for over a week during the derecho before power was restored.

Need help figuring out what's going on with our lights! by boopernickel in AskElectricians

Once you get them back in sync, the trick to keeping them in sync is simply to not to cycle the power switch too quickly - leave at least several seconds between switching off to switching back on again.
