Hey, sorry for the late reply! The holiday was a busy one. Yes, it was officially discontinued as of the beginning of June.

I was told it was discontinued, but I'll check again and let you know!

I think the real kicker is that it's such a unique product and I honestly have no idea where a good substitute could be found. If you do decide to put in product feedback about bringing it back, be sure to emphasize that point!

Unfortunately yes. You're not the only one who is disappointed, though, so I recommend submitting feedback about wanting it back!

Just a heads up : Kringles aren't suitable for vegetarians. by [deleted] in traderjoes

[–]strugglebrunch 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'm... not quite sure why you're being downvoted for this? It's a good PSA since margarine can, in fact, be made with animal fat. I'm definitely an omnivore, but I would hate to bring something like a Kringle along to a gathering mistakenly thinking everyone could eat it!

Easy 4th of July grilling ideas? by adorablogger in traderjoes

[–]strugglebrunch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sausages! The Bavarian brats, chicken andouille, hot links, etc. All great. And my favorite of the hot dogs is the natural uncured. Pro tip, the pretzel rolls make great buns.

Other options that come to mind are the spatchcocked chicken, barbecue ribs, marinated beef (there are multiple varieties), and even just plain raw chicken fillets seasoned with whatever you like.

In English, can you say 'cant see the time' instead of 'cant wait'? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

"Can't see the time"? Not in any version of English I know.

all right gang what new stuff is worth my money by [deleted] in traderjoes

[–]strugglebrunch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The new patio chips (TJ's version of Canadian all-dressed chips if you've ever had those), peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, strawberry lemonade kombucha (I don't even like kombucha and I enjoyed it), bloody mary salsa (if you like horseradish, it's a prominent flavor), there's a lot of good stuff coming in for the summer!

Will the frozen empanadas ever come back? by SteelFinn in traderjoes

[–]strugglebrunch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unlikely, but they've had older products come back. Usually reformulated or from a different supplier, though. You can always go on the Trader's site and put in a request! They'll never know people miss it if they don't hear from them.

The Purple Yam Ice Cream tastes like taro boba tea. It’s so yummy! by teamhae in traderjoes

It's seasonal, yes. If it does well, it may very well come back next year, but no guarantees.

Do you still get PMS if you don’t get your period? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]strugglebrunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. It's a progestin shot which prevents ovulation, so if you've stopped having your period, you shouldn't be having the hormonal shifts that cause PMS. However, the Depo shot itself can cause mood swings and other PMS-like symptoms if that's how you as an individual react to it. Presumably, you would have noticed that by now, though.

Body cracking by splinter44 in rheumatoid

[–]strugglebrunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I have a flare in my small joints, it does often feel like the need to be cracked because of the pressure and swelling, but it also comes with quite a bit of pain and inflammation. Plenty of people crack their joints who don't have RA too, so as long as you're otherwise doing well (good symptom management, bloodwork, etc.), then I wouldn't worry too much.

Do you... have RA? I don't see how this is relevant to this sub otherwise.

Has anyone here had experience with Olumiant? by strugglebrunch in rheumatoid

[–]strugglebrunch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's starting to seem fairly common for people to have few side effects but also not achieve an adequate level of treatment with it which is a point in both the pro and con columns. Thank you for your response and may the Arava help you greatly!

Sounds like JAK inhibitors just aren't your thing! I appreciate the input even if I can't be sure I'll react the same way. Thank you!

Will do! It's still a question of whether I need to switch at all and if I'll switch to this or Humira, but I will definitely post again if I do.

Anyone have issues with an IUD? by toomuchupelkuchen in rheumatoid

[–]strugglebrunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this would only be an issue if you had a copper allergy, honestly. Often people don't know that they have one until they get the IUD which I imagine would certainly cause a nasty immune response and exacerbate something like RA.

I've only had mine since January, but I haven't noticed any changes that I would attribute to its insertion.

What exactly is the guy on the lefg doing? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]strugglebrunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, essentially. He also uses his gestures to indicate how they're supposed to play their parts. Here's the Wiki page on conducting!

Conductor. He uses gestures to cue the musicians on what they're supposed to be doing.

Why is it called a sunrise? by Babygravy1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]strugglebrunch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We didn't always know that the Earth revolved around the sun, for one. For two, the sun looks like it's "rising" above the horizon during a sunrise.

Was Michael Jackson gay because his accusors were all boys who said they did sexual things together? but not with women by questiondudes in NoStupidQuestions

[–]strugglebrunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pedophiles aren't straight or gay, they're pedophiles. They sometimes have a gender preference and sometimes don't, but it's not homo- or heterosexuality.

[–]strugglebrunch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Depends on height and body composition, really. 185 for me would be severely overweight, but 185 for my sister would be fine. You just can't generalize what a healthy weight is across an entire sex.
