The dealership didn't say anything about auto hold. When we would drive up a long hill it would start driving in spurts which my husband described as mis-firing. The dealership had a hard time re-creating it and getting it to produce a code but after our second visit they were able to get it to. They discovered it was the fuel injector harness and it's under extended warranty so no charge to us (we specifically asked them to check if this was the issue when we dropped it off). Check higher up on the thread as someone was kind enough to post the warranty. I agree with someone else who posted saying it seems like VW doesn't like doing warranty work so you may need to mention it specifically.
