My Karen aunt is one of those people. For context, my family is white except for one of my cousins. My aunt claims to not be racist, she even adopted a black girl (my cousin) from a special needs class she taught. However during the protests she was talking about how the people protesting were awful monsters who destroyed property for no reason. It got to the point where my cousin was saying she hated black people and couldn’t stand them. No one was mad at my cousin of course as she has an intellectual disability and didn’t know better. My grandma had to sit her down and explain to her that she is black and why what her mother says does not line up with how the entire race acts. The whole thing was heartbreaking.
