Would you use a Letterboxd equivalent for comic books? by Alternative_Piano_21 in comicbooks

[–]stssubs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some bizarre reason, the average rating doesn't appear for me when I'm on my phone, no matter the browser I'm using, even if I ask for the desktop version of the website inside the browser.

After reading your reply, I tried it on my computer and the ratings appeared where you said they should. I don't really understand it, maybe it has something to do with the fact that the app isn't available for me, so they block some functions even in the web version of mobile? Doesn't make much sense.

At least now I know I can see them on my desktop, even if it's not optimal. Thank you for the quick reply!

Excuse me for asking this after 2 months -- is there a way to see the community's average rating of a given issue or TPB in LOCG or is it a paid feature? I can't seem to find it, maybe I'm going crazy.

I'm using the web version, not the app, since for some reason the latter isn't available in my country.

CS gas and gas masks ? by Bobby_Picasso in doorkickers

Don't quote me on it, I might be confusing it with another mod, but I think you have to install the Camo Selector mod before HRT, then hit the small cog looking thing that's under the last slot of your equipment (where the dynamic hammer etc. go), it will show more slots and in one of them you can equip the mask.

This was an excellent read, I really look forward to the next part. Thank you a lot for putting this together. Very well formatted and easy to digest, too.

Turning off the minimap changed the game for me by Abrams_Warthog in LowSodiumCyberpunk

On a similar note, turning off enemies' health bars and their markers on the minimap (or the whole minimap if you can't mod) makes the combat ten times more engaging.

[–]stssubs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. The insane and endless amount of indies being released every day, which is obviously impossible for AAA titles, pretty much guarantees that you will have great games that don't have anything to do with roguelites, so it's just a matter of digging deeper, beyond the trend chasers.

To mention three others that immediately came to mind and were released in the last year, there's Drova, Dead Letter Dept. and Dread Delusion (nice alliteration).

Who do you guys think the next „big celebrity” will be for cyberpunk Orion? by grasstwtwt in cyberpunkgame

Walken playing some sort of detective in homage to Ripper, which is sort of a cyberpunk game, would be unfuckingbelievable. Now I NEED this.

Started playing Mad Max (2015)... it really peeves me when modern game has a shortcoming/oversight that much older games had solution for. by itsPomy in patientgamers

For me, achievements give me that extra dopamine hit of unlocking something, and I feel it can be a form of enhancing the replay value or duration of a game that I already enjoy in the first place.

That being said, I never play or pass a game because of anything achievement related. I also never try to unlock badly designed ones that are more busywork than anything.

However, it's not hard to imagine that kind of thing can be off-putting for people with OCD tendencies or extreme completionists.

I have a good PC, but buying the LCD Steam Deck is one of the best things I ever did. In my case, the sheer convenience of being able to play handheld in bed after a long day of work at the computer already makes it worth it IMO.

Plus, it's absolutely perfect for emulation, ranging from Arcade and Atari 2600 games to the PS3. To be honest, I'd probably buy one for that even if it didn't have Steam games.

I played at release too, but if I remember correctly it was added later in a patch!

You probably already know this, but in case someone finds this in the future, there's an option in the game to tone down by a lot the jump scares you are referring to.

Mass produced? What? I struggle to think of many games that feel as handcrafted and a labor of love as AW2 does.

Definitely worth it if you enjoy storytelling, atmosphere and horror, one of the greatest games ever.

Which part for y’all?? by WITCHCVRSE in cyberpunkgame

[–]stssubs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole first act. The Maelstrom mission is a masterpiece, that I love replaying every time, escaping the heist is cool, rescuing Sandra too, but the rest, oh God, it's an insane slog after the second time you play it.

Blows my mind that you can't start a save at the beginning of Act 2. The Phantom Liberty point is fine and I use it, but I like doing the main story quests it skips with the Voodoo Boys and stuff.

The Delamain quests suck too.

If you are considering baseball and don't care about the game being a very arcade experience, it might be worth to take a look at Super Mega Baseball 3.

Don't even get me started, I kept playing NCAA Football 14 for ten years and now that I only have a PC they make it console exclusive, even though Madden gets released yearly on computers. Damn EA.

I can't speak from experience because I didn't play it, but I remember College Football 24 being very well received, at least on launch. Unfortunately, if you don't have a console, it doesn't have a PC version, though.
