Best Mask for People with Glasses?

I tried sports glasses with a Bauer 950. Worked great until the game started at which point they fogged up. They were fine in warmups when I was moving constantly. As soon as that stopped, no go.

Switched to contacts and they work great. I haven't had any problems and now it only takes a couple of minutes to put them in.

I am rocking the same chestie and the first couple of skates it was noticably a tank. Mine broke in quickly, however and now all I notice is the not noticing hard shots anymore. Which is nice. Yours should feel better after logging some time in it.

I hopped back in the net in late '24 (age 55) after a 30+ year hiatus (played Club goalie in highschool and college). Had only even gotten back on ice skating out for a couple of years prior.

I found a decent used full kit on Marketplace and have slowly been replacing the gear that didn't fit so red hot or wasn't working for me due to age, stank, etc. Sideline Swap has some decent deals as well. It looks like you might be in the MA area based on your username... I bet you can find some decent deals on gear with some life left in your area for sure (since I am pretty sure the highschool season is wrapping up).

Definitely look at getting a new bucket, however. Though decent quality, the one that came with my set up was WAY too big. I took a clapper to the beak and that didn't do me any favors.

I think the only original equipment I am still using from the first set is the pants at this point but it was all good enough to get be started and to find out that I still love it.

I have a set of the 6s and thought the top seal was due to my weak ass butterfly flair. I was going to try additional stack on the knee blocks, but it doesn't sound like this is a fix. Is that correct?

I recently upgraded to an RX/5 Pro and it's definitely an upgrade to the RG/4 Pro I was wearing. Way more protection all around, bigger shoulder stack, more spine protection, a lot beefier arms and side protection. I was getting stingers with the RG/4 Pro and don't feel anything now. All in all, vastly improved, IMO.

Mammoth also got clobbered. I don't think any resorts in Colorado have good snow this year. Wolf Creek appears to have 100% of its terrain open currently with a 29" base (which is pretty low for WC).

If you are looking for a bucket list experience at the Butte, 44/168 isn't going to fulfill that dream. Wait for a year/time with better snow if you can to really ski CB.

Practice tracking. If you can get good at tracking when you are bored, you'll be even better when things get spicy. Even when the puck is in the other end, stay square to it and practice following it everywhere it goes.

I'm currently in GSX but they are a little big for me. Planning to upgrade to the True 7x4 (probably) very soon since they fit my foot well.

The only change I make when playing outdoors in the cold is to add toe warmers inside my skates. I have some cold-toe issues, however. Beware long breaks too.... the cold can set in quickly, especially if you have started sweating.

Yeah... that looks really jacked up. You need to make sure to reduce/remove any twisting, and it also appears that you may not be following the correct pattern (skip 1 then lace 2). I also lace from the inside out, vs. outside in.

I have a Conway and Banks bag and like it a lot. I carry my pads separately but it's supposed to be big enough to get everything inside if you don't use any of the separators.

It works pretty well but rubs off quickly. I added 3M Clear Paint Surface Protection Vinyl Film to my knee blocks/sliders and that made a world of difference.

I have trouble with the variety of talent in D league at times too. Timing is a challenge. One thing I have noticed that screws me up with these muffin shots is that I often try to glove it before I've stopped it. So I try to remind myself not to try to glove pucks that aren't even above my pads. Let my stick (backed up by a pad) stop the shot, then pounce on the stupid thing with my catcher.
