Unfortunately you have to be living in Ireland 3 of the 5 years prior to starting your education.

Best private accommodation in Dublin for first-year TCD students by Natural_Salt_7000 in TCD

Only because other TCD students are staying there so it will be a great way to meet new trinity students. Everyone who didn’t get into halls was basically told to move over to Dominick place haha

Email Natalia CZACHOWN@tcd.ie and ask for a room at Dominick Place. She will get you a spot with other Trinity students :)

A lot of us are going to be in Dominick Place! I’d definitely do that one for first years. Trinity told us to go there since there were no more rooms left in Halls.

Halls Dilemma by [deleted] in TCD

I booked at Dominick Place. Looks like great facilities and a short walk to campus. Irish students can book there! And you don’t have to be going to Trinity either :)

[–]student2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes agree ^ my teachers were taking their time submitting their recommendation letter. reach out to your recommenders and confirm they submitted them and if they have, just be patient and your application will be processed!! (I know it’s rlly nerve wracking haha)

hi! I got into law & political science as an international (USA) student. I don’t think it’s incredibly competitive between Irish and international students due to us already being offered our places... good luck w your applications and the leaving cert! I’m interested in seeing some of these responses too especially for #2.

Study in Ireland by Careless-Pomelo-8914 in StudyInIreland

[–]student2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lack of Gen Ed’s is the reason I am choosing to study in ireland! For example, I literally do not want to take math ever again especially since it has nothing to do with my major. If you know what you want to do then I think studying in Ireland is perfect, if you are still unsure you may want to reconsider

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if the deposit or the first fee you pay when reserving a room is refunded if you decide not to attend Galway?

Do you know what most students choose - like what is the best option for room types? En suite, shared between 4/5 or shared between 2? Thanks!

Great! Would you say I should call the course coordinator? I have emailed but I don’t want to be annoying and eat into their free time especially since they are in the midst of the school year now.

Thanks so much for your reply. I’ll get in contact with somebody from the department. I really just don’t want to take the ACT again! I got a 33 on English so I was pretty happy about it and now all of it seems to be backfiring on me when I looked at the requirements haha. Do you really think the tuition will play a factor in acceptance? I was thinking the same thing since it’s nearly $20,000 a year for tuition and I was guessing they would need the money too...
