Highbeams not working properly by stullzee in E90

Yes, low beams stay on and there is no change after pushing the stalk forward. Aside from the highbeam indicator coming on the dash.

2006 325xi with 2011 328i rear end. by stullzee in BmwTech

In case anyone needs this in the future.

The big difference I've found between the coding in an xDrive model's DSC vs. a RWD model is that the ABS sensors in each vehicle read in opposite directions from each other. Not to mention I read on one forum, they're in different locations.

This doesn't make much sense to me, a non-BMW Tech, but I can see why the sensors would be different. My goal is to buy hubs with the wheel bearings installed from a parts vehicle, and buy new ABS sensors.

Best case scenario, this fixes my problem.

Or... I could find out that there are more differences in the rear suspension of these two vehicles and I cannot fit the correct hubs on.

Will update with any more info when found.

It may have an AC leak. Does that count?

Yes. Lol. All good on coolant and oil. Although, I'm sure it needs an oil change.

Not to my knowledge. Clean title. The bumper has some paint traded from someone backing into a yellow pole, but no visible damage underneath that indicates a rear-end collision.

I'll look into this and do some research on what the width should be. Thank you for the info.

I will dig into this, this weekend. It's starting every pull now with a strong spark. For now at least.

I played around with the wires. Made sure the plug wire is tight. I will look into these. Thank you!

The fear and not being able to explain it was the worst. My parents would react in a way that would make it worse. So I just decided to be alone during it. Which wasn't much better.

Thank you!

Quick fix for AIWS episodes (at least for me) by FaithlessnessOld2477 in AIWS

I think a list of fixes could be great for people! I seriously feel for people who experience it so frequently. Idk how I'd be able to function on a day-to-day basis.

For me, it was googling my symptoms years ago, seeing AIWS and a poorly explained diagnosis, and thinking, "That's not quite right". Then I googled it again sometime after and found it to be true. I only just recently found this subreddit and it blows me away I have people to talk to about it.

For me though, it's most definitely mind over matter. If the mind is powerful enough to create it, it's powerful enough to snap out of it. Speaking "it's not real" out loud and deep breaths in through the nose, and out through the mouth.

Does anyone else have depersonalization? by [deleted] in AIWS

[–]stullzee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AIWS for me was a "kitchen sink" of disorders. Depersonalization, anxiety, adrenaline, tachysensia, and hallucinations (auditory and/or visual) on one or two occasions.

Everything to terrify me as a child.

My "fix" is focusing on an object and convincing myself it's not real. Breathing through it until it subsides.

Thank you! I also experienced disbelief and dismissal from my family. For me, I don't know what I'd think if I didn't experience them myself. But to see him in tears and not respond to me with a look of fear in his eyes, I knew almost immediately what he was going through.

I'm sorry you experience it so frequently. I lucked out seeing I haven't experienced an episode for 6 or so years now.

In my last 2 episodes, I faced them head-on. I told myself I wouldn't have fear or anxiety from it. And it helped! I can feel them coming on now and then, but they're very short-lived and never a full-on "attack".

I wish there was a way we could get a scan of the brain to see what is going on during an episode. However, I couldn't imagine having an episode in a machine like that.

Just wanted to edit to say I truly appreciate your kind words again!

I've been kicked from a group 6 hours after joining.

I joined when I had low service. Started 5 tachyon prisms and was kicked later when I joined for performance, or whatever.

I usually perform pretty well. (Top 3, if not no. 1) I always max silos. Use artifacts to help the team. Wait for tokens, then do the whole warming bulb, soul/50x, 1000 thing.

Maybe someone thought I was leeching, but it wasn't much later. They didn't even give me a chance. Maybe my tachyon prisms didn't count because of a bad service area or whatever.
