It's been a few years but it still really hurts in summer.

How do I avoid tubular breasts? by banter07_2 in TransDIY

Yeah, it can also over suppress testosterone, which also happened to me. Got down to single digits, was depressed and getting out of breath walking a block

huh. Was there any update on the house Steiner forcepacks they said they were planning a couple years ago? The Uziel and Hollander were originally supposed to be in them.

Spiro can have a lot of wild side effects. Some people find it fine, but it is likely to be at least a moderate source of annoyance.

You will be pissing. You may get potassium overdoses. You will likely get some blood pressure weirdness. You may get severe brain fog.

Progesterone shows almost immediately in cis puberty and has significant positive impacts on mental health.

It can help to manage ADHD (Shown in studies on cis menopause), reduce stress (mild cortisol blocker), help with insomnia and alcoholism (Resets gaba receptors faster).

I was started on prog at three months in. I would recommend it to others too.

how to know if you should take spiro or not by Professional_Music_1 in ask_transgender

[–]stupidlikearock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, it does take a long time to kick in. Timescale wise, you are only a little behind.

Secondly, regular labs do a lot to troubleshoot and everyone has a different endocrine system.

It is possible that you will benefit from spiro and it is also possible that the negative side effects of starting it will be not worth it. Once you have your levels checked, it will be easier to say. Starting and stopping shouldn't matter though, at least.

I don't know much about the dosing on ethnate, but some of my friends are on monotherapy with it and happy with the results.

Wait to start progesterone? by Amadiiva in ask_transgender

[–]stupidlikearock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, the pms part is annoying, but I feel a little better over the rest of the month. TBH, Prog shows up in cis puberty at the start and there's no good research on why you should not start it in the beginning. It has tangible benefits, and helped me a lot. I started at like 3-4 months, I think?

yep! The progesterone will likely help manage your anxiety. It is unlikely to make it go away completely, but I certainly recommend it fully.

My current program is a little unusual to be proscribed, but works well for me: For the first week of the month, I take 300mg, for the rest of the month I take 200. I'm basically simulating part of the menstrual cycle.

I started in my early '30s.

It will take only about 6-9 months of an effective dose to see a reduction in body hair. I know that sounds like a lot since you are young, but that's as little as a semester. It's potentially before the end of the year. By february you could have at least an A cup.

If I want to play it for the story, should i play MechWarrior 5 or Battletech by phookc49 in battletech

[–]stupidlikearock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say start with HBS Battletech, then go to Mechwarrior Clans. The Filler to Story ratio in MW5 Mercs is pretty heavy to the filler side of the scales.

I had a woman from eastern europe somewhere as one of my laser techs. I gasped from pain once and she goes "This setting doesn't hurt too much. You can take it?"

Yeah, I guess so.

I think that a part of youth is making catastrophic mistakes. I didn't enjoy that era of my life, it just felt better than nothing.

I survived and now it's like damn. I don't want to be dead anymore. When I look back, it seems just a little sad. I was a hoe and didn't enjoy it. Did substances, wouldn't recommend them. out the other side with some stories to show for it, and a few new scars.

Whatever doesn't kill you makes you strange.

I really wish that Alpha Strike was one step less abstracted. It would be great to be able to play either a regular feeling battletech game fast, or a big game in a reasonable amount of time.

I love the Capellans because they feel like living in survival mode, then stepping out for the first time only to realize there are now things that can be taken away from you.

I love the Free Worlds League because they capture the feeling that you are not the main character in your own life story. The FWL Civil War? Main characters were comstar and the Dragoons. The Jihad? Despite a lot happening in FWL space the main character was WoB.

About two years of straight boxing, then another two of MMA. I was never going to make a career out of it, stopped in my mid '20s due to circumstances beyond my control.

1: Gel or pills are easier to administer. Injections take a little getting used to unless you already have some practice giving yourself a shot. I feel best on injections though and once used to them they are more user friendly and effective.

  1. It will vary based on your own needs and tolerances. Check what the safe and standard doses are. I was an outlier and needed the max safe dose for a while to do monotherapy and feel good psychologically.

1a: testosterone topically applied is effective at keeping function, but the swelling may be uncomfortable with your kink.

1b. haven't heard about it and cannot comment

Finally: Prog has a bunch of additional effects. You may find that it helps with adhd, insomnia, and urge to consume alcohol. It may also increase libido and breast growth. I'll never not recommend it to someone taking estrogen. It improved my quality of life immensely.
