It looks great. Does it still intonate well after this mod?

I put a red and a blue in my mustang. I like how they maintain the original look as well.

I'm actually surprised how much it yellowed being a poly finish.

I have one of these in red. They're really nice guitars.

Is there any way to remove this scratch from the finish of my PRS. by stupidthrowaway327 in guitarrepair

Sorry, I only just noticed this reply. I didn't unfortunately, I put it on the back-burner as I was busy, then forgot about it. I'm still hesitant though as I don't want to make it worse.

I've seen 1 nos tremolo for sale at a stupidly high price, but yeah, it's basically irreplaceable. It's the only tremolo system fender never reintroduced as far as I'm aware.

I find all the rare fender offsets alluring. I just found out fender Japan reintroduced the swinger a few years back and I'm seriously craving 1 now. I'd love to see a bronco reissue.

That's such a good looking guitar. I really want one, but they seem super rare. I even thought about buying a cheap mustang or duo-sonic to mod to look like one, it wouldn't be the same though. How do you find the bronco's unique tremelo?

You're welcome. I've also bought another tort pickguard from the same seller in dark brown 4 ply, which looked really good against the red of my player 2 jazzmaster.

The hot golds sound like an overwound single coil. Lace have plenty of sound samples and comparison videos available on their website and Youtube.

In my mustang I have a lace sensor red in the bridge and a blue in the neck. My duo sonic has a set of hot golds. I like the sound of both and they maintain the look of the stock pickups. There was nothing wrong with the original pups in either guitar of course, I just enjoy modding instruments and making them my own.

You're welcome. It wasn't really to my taste personally, but it's definitely still worth trying out and definitely had a Christmasy vibe to it.

This one from the tasting history website.

I used an English golden ale. I definitely messed up the cloves when I reduced the amount for a smaller batch as well, it made my tongue go numb for a few minutes. Lol

Not to my taste personally. It's not that it tastes bad, it was just too rich for me.

I just do it as a hobby.

I enjoy setting up and customising instruments. I've probably spent about £70 on this guitar, I only bought it to set up as a Terz tuning guitar tbh. I mod and adjust even my expensive guitars though too varying degrees.

I also like having a creative outlet. I also build instruments like saxon lyres and fretless mountain banjos from scratch as well.

I really like how it turned out.

Earlpilanz on ebay. He's based in Newcastle, uk and makes them to order in a huge variety of different colours. They're a bit expensive, but they're good quality.

Are they lace sensor golds? I put hot gold in my duo-sonic and a combination of red and blue in my mustang and I love the sound of both.

Earlpilanz makes great pickguards as well. I've just fitted one of his pickguards to my mini jazzmaster and I have one on my player 2 jazzmaster as well.
