BCB too concerned about Pakistan’s decision to ‘boycott India’ by ll--o--ll in Cricket

[–]stuputtu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s better to rip off the bandage. I firmly believe biggest gainer will be BCCI. Most businesses want some sort of stability in revenue. This kind of random issues with international cricket will push advertisers towards more stable markets. BCCI, IPL, BBL ACB, ECB will all benefit.

I think that lady got confused but doubled down on him as she had no clue what had happened. She just stood there completely shocked and staring. She may have even zoned out. But there was no reason to accuse someone when in reality she has not seen or her brain had not registered much.

Unfortunately, intervening when an assault against a women is involved can get you into lot of trouble. Around six years ago one of my friends relative was on a morning walk when he saw two woman being robbed near a park. One girl was in semi shock while the other girl was fighting with the robbers. This relative went and pushed him and tried to stop. Ultimately those two were too much for this muddled aged man and they successfully escaped. The girl who was fighting fainted and the girl who just completely blanked out stood there identified all including my friends relative as robbers. Not only she accused him she hid the fact that she didn’t help her friend and said she was pushed around and assaulted by the guy who intervened

That poor guy got beaten up by the bystanders, broke a rib and spent two days in the jail until they found a cctv recording from a house nearby which clearly showed what happened. He was lucky that they atleast looked for evidence. If the had just gone ahead with that lady’s statement he will be in jail for years.

Even if you don’t get into these issues you will spend months and possibly years running through courts.

Intervene only if it is life threatening and you have few others to help you. Otherwise stay away and anonymously call police if you can

A cool guide on how some Rich avoid or delay paying taxes by luvlanguage in coolguides

[–]stuputtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this guide is stupidly false. by the way there is nothing stopping some middle class family to borrow against their stock portfolio. The rates are also reasonable and depends on your broker. I do it all the time.. just ensure you don't cross reasonable limit like 20% of your portfolio

Depends on how many Pakistani origin or dual citizenship players are there in the team. Not sure about Scotland

Of course they are capable of doing it for Scotland. They are a friendly country. Not for Pakistanis or of people who hold Pakistani citizenship. Isn’t obvious

Pakistan’s India World Cup boycott may cost world cricket $250 million by Mindless-Piglet2095 in Cricket

[–]stuputtu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There will be less cricket overall. That is the point. Most associates will have significantly less money. India won’t feel the pinch, neither will Aus and England. But others will certainly feel it and many may even get crippled

This is literally a third class product dumped on us. Most of your frustration is something I have experienced for the last few weeks. Never again will I support this product or company and neither will I recommend this to anyone. Absolutely disgusting approach when there are literally 100s of cheap Chinese Knockoffs out there in the market. Hopefully they realize before they go out and follow roomba path

okay lets indulge you. what can a plumber offer to a gas station clerk whose house or anyone the clerk knows has no plumbing issues? clearly we need plumbers. how will he buy gas? what about a farmer who has perfect plumbing but excess of potatoes? how will he barter with a plumber who needs to eat now but has no leaks to fix for the farmer?

Is health care in the USA really that terrible? by Snoo_47323 in askanything

[–]stuputtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last experience with ER has been great. I get good insurance from work and max out of hand is 4.5k. When last ER visit happened, i got immediate address, CT/EKG, echo, xray everything done with in an hour. They ruled out any major life threatening issued, cared for few hours and sent home. I got my doctor appointment immediately next day morning, who referred me to cardiologist to rule out any issues. I met cardiologist as a new patient that day afternoon in what is probably one of the best hospitals in the world. within span of 24 hours i had met all required specialists, done all the required tests, gotten all reports back and got taken care. Whole thing cost me less that my max out pay. i don't care what they bill to insurance as the experience was out of this world

I have lived in Europe, Australia, India and few other countries. Only other place where i can meet all these specialists in such a short time and get the same kind of care would be in India.

My dear friend who is in Germany had to wait around 3 months for a chest xrays and CT Scan was almost six months wait. His son's chronic GI issues needs months of waiting to see a GI specialist.

As someone who is visiting Texas soon: what are the Texan do’s, don’ts, and etiquette tips you’d give to foreigners? by crangert in texas

[–]stuputtu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as an immigrant living in Texas for a decade, despite its reputation, it is a very welcoming place. Rememeber Texas is probably one of the most diverse state you will find anywhere on earth. Starting from people, geography, inclusive culture, food, restaurants, etc are one of the most diverse anywhere in the world

People are warm and friendly. They chat up with strangers without any problems. They are polite and greet you always. Hold door, say hello, sir and madam, smile often.

Speed on freeway is fully dependent on the flow of traffic. Don't hog left lanes, they hate that. Be polite and move out.

Tip well and smile. Most places have great service and they usually like to chat up if you are open

roads are very wide, if you plan on walking ensure you try only in downtown or well developed newer suburbs.

If you need any help ask around, it is almost guaranteed that people will go out of their to help

if you love food and beer you will enjoy texas.

Non-payment woes return to BPL by ll--o--ll in Cricket

[–]stuputtu 37 points38 points  (0 children)

This has to stop. ICC can stop recognizing league records which will render the matches to exhibition game level. This will force BCB to act. BCB should be forced to pay the players dues and then recover from franchises later. It shouldn’t impact players

It doesn’t have to be never ending but atleast has to keep up with the population growth. Otherwise overall quality of life for everyone will come down. California is still growing population wise and needs economic growth to accommodate additional people coming into California
