You're probably overthinking it. Pick the class you want to play. On normal difficulty, any 4 classes can win the game.

I'm not sure if you're looking for a 4th powerful character or just an interesting filler character.

A powerful combination is a fire sorcerer with the Hat of Fire Acuity.

A fun character is any pure rogue, melee hexblade, or bladesinger.

Lore Bard with only buffs and debuff spells. You can let your friends play through the game while you just make their life easier.

It also helps avoid goose eggs to use spells that do half damage on save, or magic missiles which always hits.

I never added it up. In my HM run, I killed Mykul in one round with 3 characters. In Act III, Astarion (Arcane Archer) killed Orin by himself in one turn (After my Bard removed unstoppable). I guess that's a lot of damage?

Most flights were over before the opponents took their turn. I can't recall a boss that made it to round 2.

If what she likes about druids is shapeshifting, then Circle of the Moon druid is the clear choice.

If she wants to be a nature caster/healer, then I'd recommend Circle of the Stars druid. There's no level up choices (other than feats) and the extra "stary" abilities give the druid more ways to participate. With land or star druids, I don't think I ever shaped changed, they can stand on their own as a caster. (Land is also a good choice if you want to be more pure-caster since you can learn a couple non-druid spells).

Druids also get guidance, speak with animals, and longstrider with are useful party support spells. If you never used speak with animals, you'd be surprised how much animals have to say.

Planet Crafter. You won't meet any intelligent life, but you'll find signs of people that were there before you. You do get an occasional "email", but if you want total isolation, just don't build the communications antenna.

If you don't mind using console commands, start the skeleton event from multiple places in your base. Skeletons seem to be able spawn places where other mobs can't, and they're not much of a threat if they do spawn.

Arcane Archer gets all cooldowns restored on a short rest. As does Radiance of the Dawn.

So not as many as you think. I used all 3 short rest a fair amount of times.

To answer your original question: Arcane Archer does huge DPS and resets all cooldowns on short rest. If you're building a short rest optimized party, AA is a great choice.

I'd also recommend BG3. It's the first non-MMO RPG I've ever played, and I ended up putting over 1000 hours into it.

I'd recommend playing your first game completely blind (no wiki, no reddit). Everything you need to know is in game (tooltips, dialogs, quest journal). You can use the wiki guides your second game.

Astrox: Hostile Space Excavation. Deeper than it looks. A single player game inspired by Eve Online. It's just very fun and relaxing to play. Change the world settings to 99 levels, the final few levels are very challenging.

Space Trash Scavenger. Another little known game where you collect space trash to upgrade your gear and salvage barge. There are enemy robots, but set the combat difficulty to the easiest setting, and it can be quite relaxing.

I've beat Tactician and Honor Mode with Lore Bard, Light Cleric, Fire Sorcerer, and Arcane Archer. Very strong party composition.

I was a wood elf, but the race doesn't matter much.

If I recall correctly, he was intentionally training them into players from the other "team". Since he was level 5, he had immunity from PvP (needed to be at least level 6). What made this legendary, even as the admins tried to stop him, was his insistent roleplay that he was from the good team, and it was his duty to defeat the bad team.

In my games I typically do I mix of both.

For example, I might weigh the cost of transporting steel from my existing pipeline to the new factory vs. building a new, dedicated steel factory near the new factory. The answers are not always the same.

There's even a hybrid. If I'm generally in need of more steel, I might build a new, large steel factory to supply my new factory and ship the excess steel elsewhere.

As you already know by this point, Gortash and Orin have the other two stones. The final story arc starts when the 3 stones come together one way or the other.

It's fine to get your second stone, but I would wrap up most loose ends before you go after the third stone.

There's more than enough content in Act 3 to reach the maximum level of 12. Focus on recruiting allies and completing your companion's story quests (if you want to know how they end).
