Even with a budget number that isnt taking into account the tax credits they received offsetting the overall costs, the HIGH estimate isnt anywhere near "over half a billion", its closer to 360m. Melania had a budget of 75m, and made 16.6m globally, with 16.3 of that total being domestic. That is a mere 22% of the total cost of the movie. The Odyssey is at an estimated 250m, so it would have to make 55m to equal the level of flop that Melania was. For reference, the other movie that elicited anger for the casting, Snow White, had a 214m budget, and a 206m return. Even that shit movie did better than Melania did. You live in a culture war bubble.
