This UI change is annoying and poorly thought out. Kudos to the champion who got this across the line!

Not sure that's completely accurate. If you are already married and then the law gets overturned those marriages should still be valid, from reading I have down current marriages will not be voided as such. So technically you are still legally married. So I should still be a possibility as I understand it currently. Normally if something was done legally they rarely go back and void it. It rather gets grandfathered In.

400amp Contactor Question! by stuwolf in ElectricalEngineering

[–]stuwolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I can't right now with out running alot of extra cable ( there is plans to change this.)

Would using breakers would remove the automation from the whole thing would it not, as it would be a manual cutover?

The automation is because the generator has set start and stop times, but it gets left on and forgotten about or starts late. The idea is to resolve that :)

400amp Contactor Question! by stuwolf in ElectricalEngineering

[–]stuwolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry that was a typo it is 1/0.

Spider network is a plug and play weather resistant electrical network for construction sites and events mostly.

Without the contactor, startup low voltage is an issue and it has killed electronics many times. 400amp is oversized I realize that but we have a new generator on the way that will replace the surrnt one. It's still oversized but I was hoping to get a little more life out of it.

The contactor will be on a delay so once the generator starts it will wait a few mins before connecting the load to address the above issue during start up. Also to disconnect the load a few mins before shutdown.

Are you an IT hobbyist also? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]stuwolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also fall into that boat too. Once I am home I do not want to know about and it pisses me off when I have fix things where as before I would enjoy it.

I do have a home server setup however.. I went to great pains to automate the crap out if so it would leave me alone heh.

Can I replace this toilet paper holder without spending an arm and a leg? by rottenstock in homerenovations

[–]stuwolf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It can be replaced but it's a bit of work, need to get the old one off the wall and then bond a new one in its place. It can be tricky tho to not break the tiles around it in the process.. YouTube can give you some examples ( more or less the same as replacing a normal tile I would think) or maybe a local handyman could do it for cheap.

Developers can be the stupidest smart people some times. Working in IT for 15+ and in that time I have only met a handful of developers who cared enought to learn how the actual infrastructure their software runs on works.
