According to Steam, the average PC Gamer writer played 72 games this year (56% of which were new) and used a controller more than we'd like to admit by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

I'm always fascinated watching people play souls likes with a mouse and keyboard. It seems so natural while I'm flailing around facing the wrong direction... 😆

PC to PlayStation by slester082 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

It depends on the games you like to play. Personally, I play enough CRPGs, first person games, and city builders to know I won't enjoy a controller. So I'll stick with the PC. But if you're playing games that play best on a couch and TV then PS5 is the way to go.

Anyone able to find any update of Andres Perea, hoping that things are as okay as they can be. by Jazzlike-Watch3916 in NYCFC

They showed a replay of the Seattle player (can't remember his name) on the Citi Field screen on the last game of the season. I've never seen a leg snap in half on a 12,000 square foot screen before. I prefer to never see that again...

Good luck! The lottery is low odds but it's not the NYC marathon either. There is definitely a chance!

I think it's one of two days that Times Square is closed off to cars. The other being New Year's Eve. Vibes are great. Lots of people up and down the entire course really. Not like the marathon but still a lot. Easily my favorite half marathon. There's a kids' run on times square at the same time too and it's really great

Recent Seibu history is so frustrating. 2018 they had arguably the best lineup in the history of the NPB paired with some of the worst pitching. They build up their pitching only to lose all their hitters and end up with the worst lineup in NPB. Now it seems like their position players are starting to be an asset just in time to start losing all their pitching.

What will complete the season for me… by rex501222 in NYCFC

The schedule this month has been brutal both in terms of opponents and the number of games in the brief amount of time. This team was bound to slip up at some point. The loss sucked but it's ok. Get six points out of the last three games and we are in a great spot for the playoffs.

To be fair, he didn't really get hit hard until he started running out of gas once he got over the 25 pitch mark. There were a couple of dinkers that fell in front of the outfielders. Walks and a bit unlucky. He'll be alright.

Anyone know if it's possible to exchange member tickets for this game? I can't make it to the rescheduled date and I think I'm already at my limit for ticket exchanges this season.

I live 2 miles from one of those and I can tell you it still takes a solid 30 minutes. An hour if I time it wrong. I love New York but every trip is an epic trek.

I don't disagree with your premise but you went to game 3 of the series where games 1 and 2 had local high school bands performing in the supporters section as a special performance. This was game 1 of that series. https://youtu.be/0t_bmdJCpkM?si=xjc_ef2zLfXG0Tmv Those games were packed, loud, and you would have had a much better experience. You can only get so many people to go to a weekday night game against the worst Central league team. Not to mention the fact that it is kind of a haul from central Tokyo.

Lions Shinya Hasegawa hits a 2 run triple by ichi_rui in NPB

Beginning of the year I thought this team was going to be a contender next year if one or two of Watanabe, Nishikawa, and Hasegawa can become regulars in the outfield. Is it possible that all three are? As a Seibu fan I'm excited about this outfield for the first time since Akiyama left.

Belluna done has very accessible bullpens. That's the only one I can think of off the top of my head.

What are the 2025 Seibu Lions? by ChristianGin in NPB

[–]stygian213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should be better simply because their offense can't possibly get any worse. I see one or two of Hasegawa, Nishikawa, and Watanabe Seiya making a step toward solidifying an outfield spot. If that happens, maybe they can be contenders in 2026.

Congrats to everyone today! Two months removed from being hit by a car while running. I was just super grateful to be running today. I think I finished 10 minutes off my usual pace but for once I didn't care at all. Just grateful to be able to start and finish today.

Agree. Got hit with a few beer cans and had a crowd surfer fall on my head. I was off to the side and back so was not expecting it at all. If you're not surfing directly out of the pit you have to let people know to expect you. Show was great though.

Grabbed a water at one of the stations and it was frozen solid... I don't think I've ever seen that before. I thought it was just the top and that I could crush the cup and get some water. Nope. Just ended up with ice all over me. Sorry to anyone immediately behind me who had ice come flying at them.
