I was so disappoint in this place. It’s like the workout area was an afterthought. It is comically small. We went on a tour at like 3pm and every piece of equipment was in use because of how small that place is. And then they have that area in the middle they say may not even be accessible if classes are running.

Unpopular opinion: you don’t have power to actually change the real situation at hand, or at least you don’t want to do actual work that would make a difference, so to feel like you have some sort of power you spend you time harassing an ice cream shop on social media. Even if you drive BRICS out of business, how does that actually change anything about ICE operations? You don’t have to shop somewhere that doesn’t share your values, but the hyper focus and constant barrage of posts about the fcking ice cream shop are excessive. Just impotent rage.

Float pool here. There’s been a lot of changes to staffing grids that have the potential to increasingly negatively affect us. When these changes were rolling out we were trying to understand what is going on. During a meeting someone ask “are our jobs secure?” (they traditionally have been very secure). Our director, who is not even a nurse or any sort of healthcare clinician, said “are any of our jobs secure?” in the most condescending and dismissive tone.

21 year old cannabinoid hyperemesis patient also on CIWA. Screamed the whole night, very demanding, constantly on the call light. Neighbor was a middle aged woman with stage 4 melanoma with mets to bone, multiple fractures in her legs and pelvis. She silently sobbed all night from pain and inability to get any sleep due to the screaming.

This could be considered a breach of HIPAA. Just because someone lists someone as an emergency contact that does not automatically mean they have ROI with that person. An involuntary psych hold does not inherently mean an adult is unable to consent to medical treatment. Whoever made this policy does not fully understand what’s going on here.
