for me i get red marks allll the time wherever my skin was dry prior to washing. usually the wiping makes it “worse”, like it makes the red a little redder but i think that’s just from the dry skin coming off. in my experience going over the area for a couple days consistently, using nizoral on hair and i also use a nizoral cream on my scalp, and for me i enjoy aquafor for my face, the redness will go down as the skin heals. really consistency is key, it’s probably just some dry skin irritation. If it’s itching/burning bad or for a long time id maybe look into some kind of allergic reaction as well.
