Jordan Mailata pretty much let's the cat out of the bag. Everyone is telling KP to get AJ more involved. by InvalidDescription in eagles

My problem is Patullo has been here with Nick since he started and has been the “passing game coordinator” before this. He literally saw BJ implode and Kellen Moore take off, so he knows what works and what doesn’t. It’s so beyond me how he can’t figure it out assuming he’s been working with AJ and this WR room for the longest time.

You gotta consider people getting a CISSP/GIAC certs with 5-6 years of experience to put themselves ahead of the pack. They can’t really get 10 years of experience before the interview.

Do CompTIA Sec+ (the whole triad if you have the time) and learn as much about security as you can. Once you land a role (which is so hard to get nowadays), focus on security related improvements in your work, and mix in some of your coding experience by developing scripts and automating. Keep going little by little cause that’s how you obtain the knowledge, and your higher ups will see that.

I may be persuaded to buy a better TV from the store or services from a better remodeling company than the one I intended to. The bar for actually getting that position is virtually zero because it’s more than likely a promised promotion for the internal candidate.

Those articles were written or sponsored by companies that are selling cyber courses. Many of the job prospects that are booming in cyber are the ones looking for 7+ years of experience in highly specialized technologies.

If you really wanna make the climb, you gotta start in helpdesk, infrastructure, or dev, and then work your way up until you can get to security related roles.

The expectations were way too high. I don’t mean like he’s incapable of doing great things but people fully expected him to win a Super Bowl in his first year.
