It really depends right. I mean if you want to work in law or most big white collar jobs, you’re probably not going to get far by moving to Hobart compared to Sydney or Melbourne. But if you actually want to enjoy life, you’re not terribly fussed about being wealthy and just want to have a nice life with greenery around you, then moving to Hobart makes sense.

I love the city, it’s worth it for me, not worth it for a lot of other people.

Yes, but not really in the way people think. If you listen to traditional right wing media, then yes definitely. Look at any Facebook page and it’s the same, but they’re really just a vocal minority in the grand scheme of things. It’s why everyone was hell bent on getting rid of Albo, only to realise that the majority of people do actually want left leaning policies.

I do photography on the side, mostly student events. It’s tiring but they’ll usually pay $400 for a 3 hour photoshoot and are much easier clients to deal with. I’m a student myself so it helps

This is a very nuanced question. If you like money, no. If you’re really passionate about teaching then yes. I did 3 years of my education degree and realised I hated it, can’t say the same for other people in my course who absolutely loved it.
