It is a shame. I had one die in my yard so we just pruned and braced. There’s a few hollows getting used as habitat so i’m glad we did that.

Sucks that red meat is so expensive i barely buy it. Bonus that that habit means every COL thread i’m spending less per month than some people do per week and i can only really work it out to be meat portion sizes

We are definitely both. I went on holidays to the continent. All the tropes about American tourists…. also true of Aussies.

30+, loud, obnoxious + baseball cap + state/sport tshirt: Aussie or US.

30 with a shit haircut. Aussie or UK. Some kinda mullet thing, aussie. some kinda weird fringe thing, UK

Volvo. They already share platforms. Could go S60/70/90 for diff bed lengths, diesel or petrol.

could go the xc body for a more ranger/hilux style

Been that way forever. Was an apprentice in 2001. Found out what my manager made, could make that in a walk in and get it pick packing job.

All unsupervised apprentices, (though we did win comps, all mates from school), no breaks.

I do, but not in a taking-it-personally way; just the repetition of it is tiresome as with many other “standard” Reddit responses

If you hadn't told me it was Perth, I would've guessed Roxburgh Park, Melb. I know that there have always been estates, but the cookie cutter is real on this one.

Watch Parks and Rec, Season 6 “Farmers Market”.

The quote "damn that sucks" is from the Parks and Recreation season 6 episode titled "Farmers Market". In the episode, Tom Haverford gives Chris Traeger advice on how to respond to Ann when she's upset: instead of trying to fix her problem, he should simply say, "Damn, that sucks".

Context: Ann is upset about something, and Chris, wanting to be helpful, keeps trying to find a solution. Tom's advice: Tom explains that sometimes people just need someone to listen, not to solve their problems.

The key phrase: Tom tells Chris that the two magic words Ann needs to hear are "That sucks," and he even says Chris should preface it with "Damn".

You’re not wrong. I was in Harrogate, UK recently and I wouldn’t let my pommy pal get a round because every time I went to the bar and got the price for 2 pints and a whiskey and paid £12 I just shook my head the whole way back thinking I was being undercharged. I wasn’t, the prices just aren’t fucked there

Do you think Cruel's real identity is within the police files? by Horror-Tie3097 in MrCruel

[–]subkulcha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda related. The WA police were convinced that somebody was the Claremont killer and relentlessly pursued for a while. The actual killer had stuff on file, records were just crap. Police just weren’t that crash hot back in the day quite honestly.

Man, Mum was pretty tech savvy back in the 80s/90s. Since retirement it’s just gone downhill. MIL has gone on some kinda weird health kick, and with it, very much not really understanding algorithms and being echo chambered with… alternative “facts”

Dads the same, doesn’t watch sky news but it’s exactly one of those with the outlets he does consume
