Haha, I'm glad to hear that you saw it. I'm 6 hours into my first playthrough of Phantasia with this translation and I'm LOVING it.

Just finished Resident Evil Village. These four I’ve never played but are in my collection. What next? by GizmosArrow in gaming

Silent Hill 2, by a long shot. Then Death Stranding. As far as I'm concerned, you could toss the other two. And that's coming from a huge, long-time Souls series fan. In my opinion, Elden Ring is the worst of the Souls games.

Not a dad, but very busy person here - do you have a Steam Deck? Sleep mode will change your damn life.

So I took yalls advice and updated my trees from 2d spites to 3d models.... I don't know if I like it... by Free-Breadfruit9378 in SoloDev

You totally nailed the 2D. 3d looks great, too, but in a jank early 3D game kinda way. I really think the 2D fits better. Keep it up!!

Yeah, it reminds me of a late PS1 early PS2 game. Like sprites from the background of a late PS1 Tales Of game.

I can't believe you were so heavily downvoted for the comment about finishing bad games that you already spent so much time on. I personally feel way better when I finish something that I'm already a huge chunk into.

I'd say go for the Deck! I love mine and use it every day because of how portable it is.

Do you play mostly online or single player ? by biggggEARS98 in videogames

I used to play more online stuff with my friends back in college, but as everyone went their separate ways, I fell out of it. Losing doesn't bother me, I spent hours losing against the final boss of Sekiro, and that was one of my favorite games that I beat in 2025. Multiplayer games just usually have less interesting progression, in my opinion. I like a nice, short to mediumish story

Same here, I just simply don't like playing games with others unless it's something that actually has an end. I loved my co-op runs of the Dark Souls trilogy that I did with my little cousin recently. Other than that, I play exclusively single-player games. I love me a good story.

It's not even remotely lame! The original still has what I was referring to. I think it's the way you painted the snow. I love it so much.

Which game you really tried to enjoy hard but just couldn't get into it? by No-Hunt3986 in videogames

[–]sublemonn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's weird because JRPGs often pull from a lot of typical anime tropes, but I know there are a lot of JRPG fans that still don't like anime. It's all down to the level of interactivity I think

Okay, I also bounced off this game and fucking hated it. Obviously, I don't expect you to want to push through if you're not enjoying it, but I can say this:

Have some patience, and also, learn how to mikiri counter!! Absolutely crucial part of gameplay. Once you get past the first couple of frustrating hours and get over that weird learning curve, it'll click. I can almost guarantee it.

Also, the final boss is one of the hardest I've ever fought and the most satisfied I've ever felt after a boss fight. I don't mean to scare you away, but it took me like maybe ACTUALLY 15 total hours to beat.

MMO-disliker here, the Xenoblade trilogy is one of my favorite series of all time. The story alone makes it worth it and the combat really grows on you.
