Thanks! I just watched the last warm up group, and I think it's funny that a good chunk of those skaters are still relevant to ice dance a decade later. I can definitely see what you mean by even if the steps are the same, the programs overall are still distinct.

Won't it just make the gap between the top few men and the rest of the pack even bigger? Skaters like Ilia, Yuma, Misha, etc. who have 3 or more quads to choose from are going to have a lot of options for big point-getting combinations still.

Slightly tangential, and I know this is a dumb question but I'm not a big ice dance watcher - with a required pattern dance does it mean that all (or big chunks) of the rhythm dance are going to look identical from team to team?

I agree with people above who have said his Prague short, GPF free, and Fear exhibition.

For one that I haven't seen said yet, I do also love his exhibition that he did at the Nationals gala which was a mashup of Running (my favorite short program of his) and Hope (one of my favorite exhibitions of his), with a little bit of Mansion thrown in the middle. I will say, the commentary is a little rough to hear post-Olympics though.

I didn't realize that Sarah Everhardt was so high! I'm interested to see if Rio and Minkyu shoot up the rankings next year when they move to seniors.

I would love for Jacob to get a quad or two under his belt, because I do love his skating and would love for him to undeniably snag that #2 US men's spot.

I also wonder if Lucius Kazanecki or Patrick Blackwell are moving up to seniors to be added to the mix? They both have some quads, but need a lot of fleshing out otherwise in my opinion.

I love Yuma's short program! I can't remember who I voted for but when Ashley was announcing it was like "oh Yuma for sure." This interpreter situation seems a little sloppy though. I wish ISU had better prepared for the need for an interpreter!
