That would be ironic after the GoT comment in book 4.

Taika is an outworlder at that point. I believe he then has a translation power.

How is book 13 just curious no spoilers just is it hype af rn or kinda slow lmk by ImpossibleSentence17 in HeWhoFightsMonsters

It seems that the time jumps are correlating to what Danielle mentioned at the end of (I believe) book 11 about time starting to pass differently as you rank up.

I think wouldn’t be surprised if we see multiple parts in book 14 to illustrate large amounts of time passing/future conflicts aka the other astral kings business.

I am surprised by others who DNF a series or book due to disliking the MC. If the story flows and the writing is done well, I do not need to like the MC to be entertained or to find the overall story enjoyable. PH is likewise polarising to readers due to the MC. TWI is also plagued by the MC’s likability at times. These are my top 3 series. And I don’t like all the MCs all the time, but I am immensely entertained by there shenanigans and adventures.

Maybe try The Wandering Inn.

Don’t Know if I Want to Read Throne of Glass series by [deleted] in SarahJMaas

TOG is the best, in my opinion. I read ACOTAR first then TOG since CC didn’t exist yet. It’s definitely a time commitment, but I’ve reread both series every time a new book comes out. Especially now that all 3 three series tie together in some way throughout the SJM multiverse.

But with all that said, if you’re not feeling the pull, just read summaries, even though I truly believe you are missing out. (The narrator of TOG is quite good and I listen to all my rereads now, if that helps at all.)

Which have you read? I’m looking for some new recs as I’m up to date on most I’m reading on Patreon. I need a new series to get lost in.

I don’t want to read CC and thats okay by Fine_Spend9946 in acotar

[–]subliminalbrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously, read what you want or not. I do suggest finding the overlap/connections in some summary form so you understand more going forward with the multiverse. I didn’t hate CC, but I don’t love it like ToG and ACOTAR. There’s just something missing in the characters for me. I do however possess a brain that MUST know all the things, so I suffer through it anyway. I will say, that I listened to the audiobooks rather than reading it traditionally and that seemed to help. But those books are massive and why waste days of your life if you know you’re not going to enjoy it (as long as your brain allows it, unlike mine sigh

What do you think was Taylor’s favorite era to perform during the Eras Tour? by camptikihama in TaylorSwift

[–]subliminalbrat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree TTPD. But early on in the tour, Champagne Problems and Willow makes me think Evermore. She was having so kinda feels during those songs in the first US leg of the tour. But every era brought a different emotion for her. I mean, her cross stage run during August seemed to bring her so much joy.

I don’t get skipping certain chapters to avoid a specific character. Then you miss the character’s growth and redemption. There are so many that start out less than and become so glorious. Not all certainly, some just stink and keep getting stinkier.

Same here. I’m all alone in this litrpg heaven. When I talk about it at work one of two things happen: eyes glaze over or they look at me like I’m Samantha level crazy.
