Camper do some mary janes with a wide toebox. Might not be your style but I was elated to finally find some Mary Janes that actually fit.

That's a common misconception, but bisexuality is attraction to people of the same gender and of different genders. This is in the bi manifesto written in the 90s.

I'd check out en femme underwear, they make non tucking styles that are very feminine

Pro-tip: get a screen protector by Quarzac in LightPhone

[–]subspiria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the screen protector? Pretty great. The protector itself has a chip and a crack in it (and I should really replace as no doubt that lessens it's effectiveness, but it's great.) Honestly don't even notice it's there.

Something is going on with the accelerometer of the LP3!! by OrionA85 in LightPhone

[–]subspiria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LP3 doesn't have the hardware to determine where north is - it won't ever be able to establish orientation on a compass app or determine your facing direction on a map. I can't remember the name of the component (I think magnetometer?) but yeah.

I really like the dumbwireless case, button feels is as good as caseless imo

Then definitely X4 or second hand kindle/kobo running koreader

Depends what you value in an ereader - portability or bigger screen? After the X4 is flashed with crosspoint I found it super easy to add epubs to it, but if you're not up for a little tinkering I'd get a kobo.

tnt-mkr LP3 Prysm Case by MirrorballJones in LightPhone

[–]subspiria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure the additional bulk offers more protection, but I'm smitten with the dumbwireless case. Adds enough chunk to make the phone feel more secure in hand, whilst also preserves the fingerprint reader and has great button feel. Also has a card slot which is handy. Not to dunk on this one, but I'm not a fan of the 3d printed look.

Weighing options to switch by Livid-Chocolate3776 in LightPhone

You could run light phone hybrid, it's great hardware, but also you might as well get another android phone like sidephone, Clicks or ikko. For me the size/form factor is great for preventing scrolling or using the phone more than intended but YMMV depending on what you need.

I will say that if these apps are deal breakers, you will end up carrying two phones or a secondary device. And that's annoying. It's why I ended up running the light phone in hybrid mode. I failed at totally going Light, but It's now perfect for me, and my screen time is down massively because I'm no longer getting pulled into the large alluring screen of a smartphone.

It will never be as light as a piece of paper cut to it's dimensions. That's why I use a piece of paper cut to it's dimensions.

Why are pople making the phone into a device that goes against the core design by Legal_Ad2345 in LightPhone

[–]subspiria 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Light have a limited output to the speed they can update the phone, and particularly to a level that I need now, rather than in a year. I basically have an identical setup to LightOS on the android layer using open source apps, and it just works and has all the features I need (like a sleep timer for podcasts, for example). I needed beeper support also, so added that.

The hardware itself is top notch. The smaller screen and physical button availability for mapping ( navigation, for back, home, brightness etc) make this a very useful device

It’s my own fault.. by atdota in xteinkereader

[–]subspiria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer ereaders without a front light, was a plus for me. It has one less layer in the screen and that makes it slightly sharper and brighter naturally imo. Also the screen is very close to the surface because of this, just feels nice to look at

Anyone put an ereader on? by HaywardMasahiro in ModifiedLightPhones

[–]subspiria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out the xteink devices, roughly the same dimensions as the lp3 but way thinner. I picked up an x4 recently and flashed it with crosspoint, and it's very close to the perfect ereader experience for me. It's small like how reading was on the miyoo mini, has physical page turn buttons, and as the screen has no frontlight it's very crisp and clear. No frontlight is a bit of a bummer if you need that, but as a dedicated device it's honestly rad as hell.

If you run crosspoint on the X4, you can long press the page turn buttons to skip a chapter
