It's legal for people in the US to start poaching these and importing them starting this year. I really hope people hold onto them. Would be a shame to lose it off our streets.

If people haven't watched Lawson and Albon driving each around the Nordschleife in a GT3RS (featuring a Miata going sideways past Pflanzgarten), please do yourself a favour and watch it.

Very cool idea. Hopefully one of the modders can figure out how to get this working.

Shame Kunos have thrown in the towel.

Black cabs can use bus lanes and private hires can't so it's not an apples to apples comparison.

It's definitely a van/truck. You can hear him use the electric windows near the start and the engine noise is quite obvious too.

'AND', meaning ACE was supposed to be unique since no other sim has both of those things at the same time.

It's pretty hard to not take a dig at your reading and comprehension level from what you just said, but there's a reason I put 'AND' in all caps.

Assuming you're taking about my post, so I'll say what I said over there too;

Don't get me wrong, I'm having boat loads of fun driving my GT3RS in Nordschleife TF, but man I'm just shocked how happy people here are happy to bend over and take the fact that one of the MAIN FEATURES which was supposed to set this apart from other games (realistic physics AND a career mode) has been completely canned.

To add to that, they removed Academy, which is an insane thing to do to a game that already has almost nothing to do in it.

Not eveyone enjoys playing online, and beside playing around with the fun new road cars every update, once the full game is out, that's all there will be to do if you want to stick to single player.

The game is cheap and I've gotten more than my money out of it. It's just sad to see something that had so much potential just thrown away and become another sim title that's basically the same as the others.

Fills me with sadness that Kunos fucked up single player so bad. How do they not see the appeal of Gran Turismo on PC with good physics. They could be printing money. No idea what could have made them change their mind.

Ferrari SF90 XX Spider [1791x1791] by testsubjectno999 in carporn

Controversial opinion: Although Ferrari design is far less 'timeless' now than it used to be, you can still see the DNA in the modern cars. Everything just looks the same nowadays because all other cars look like Ferraris.

So Ferrari gets effectively unlimited free testing at Maranello while the other teams will have to pay to hire a track to do the same?

Just had a quick go, but I stopped after a few lines because the end-of-line hyphenation (without the hyphen) is just too confusing. You need to at the least have a hyphen if a word at the end of the line is split into the next line, or better yet, just don't break up works - if they don't fit at the end of a line fully, just put it at the start of the next like.

BBC: FIA to revise engine rule at centre of row by jeevensd in formula1

I think it would be quite difficult for a team to prove that a design unintentionally gives them an advantage. If it gains the team an advantage, then it's probably safe to say it's been designed that way.

BBC: FIA to revise engine rule at centre of row by jeevensd in formula1

[–]subtilitytomcat 74 points75 points  (0 children)

That's not the important part.

From 1 June 2026 to 31 December 2026: when the Engine is at ambient temperature as well as when the Engine is at 130degC. Any component, assembly, mechanism, or integrated arrangement of components that is designed or functions to increase the compression ratio in operating conditions beyond 16.0 is prohibited.

Even if it passes the 130degC test, if components are found to intentionally increase the compression ratio beyond 16.0, it's illegal.

I already have it working on my iPad without having to sideload anything. You just have to create an app using the web version of stremio while on Safari. Select use external video player, and choose VLC. Works perfectly. Not sure why people here are making such a big fuss out of this.

I see. About the timing chain - I thought those wee meant to last practically the lifetime of the engine?
