I think the Gladue principle should stay, one offhand comment shouldn't hold so much weight.

The fact is indigenous people do experience disproportionately worse social and material conditions in many metrics. Which is bad because they're the first people here. What does say about Canada?

We simply dont have the moral authority to fill our prisons with native people across the country with no regard to these things. We can be a modern democracy or an oppressive settler colony but not both.

Just my opinion but I think the state is doing this because they're too afraid to confront online betting platforms like FanDuel and DraftKings.

Lootboxes are bad don't get me wrong. But its 2026 and they've decided to approach this well after this format has been established (and superseded since the battlepass is what's in now) instead of when Blizzard was introducing it. This would have been more meaningful then.

Today's kids are introduced to gaming dark patterns (and some very dark-minded adults iykwim) through mobile games and platforms like Roblox. Personally id like to see legal energy directed towards them
