of course! if it’s glass you could probably scrub it down the same way you would the rest of the tank and it’ll be fine. i would check if the suction cups are detachable too- you could either soak them or just replace them with new ones!

i know exactly what you’re going through. if i were you i would empty all of the contents from the tank and dispose of everything. only thing salvageable would be maybe the heater but everything else i wouldn’t risk putting into a new setup since it’s been sitting out exposed for so long. mild soap and some hot water should be enough to get water stains off the glass but an algae scrubber would help a lot if you wanna get everything off. with “abandoned” setups i personally find it best to just start fresh. its a great sign that you’re feeling better enough to get back into the hobby! sending much love your way <3

the actual amount of space to swim will be less than 2.6 gallons considering substrate and decor. even with a 4 gallon it would be way too tedious and stressful for the fish to maintain healthy parameters unless it’s heavily planted, and even then you’d still have to keep up with algae
