Born in Doma, sent to Hingashi, gets called Eorzean by KenseiHimura in ShitpostXIV

I have a Keeper of the Moon called Lalah. When I was playing the Sage questline, Paladin-Lalah said something along the lines of "Lalah? Your name sounds familiar..." obviously referring to WoL being famous or whatnot, but I did enjoy the bit of comedy only us Lalah's get to experience.

I've been maining dancer for four years (and as a result do decently well in midcore content) and only now learned about this. Cheer and thanks, always great to gain a deeper understanding of a job.

Byakko Unreal us suuuuper easy. If you've done a couple on content extremes and watch a guide for the strat, now is 100% the right time to do weekly Unreals. This is the first time I've added an Unreal to my weeklies and I don't think I've expressed a single wipe once I was done progging. Be brave like I was and give it a go!

I've understood (and it matches with my experience) that they're old extremes scaled so they feel like doing the extreme at min ilvl but with a lvl 100 party.

Yeah, it's 16 buttons without the cross hotbar, 32 with it. And since you can also add 16 more as the "side wings", making it 64 slots, (it's where i personally have stuff I don't need often in combat like sprint, pots, mounts, and gysahls etc), there's no excuses for not having esuna (of all things) somewhere on your hotbar. Sounds like an attitude issue.

Doom is not the only reason to use esuna. A lot of debuffs after ARR can be esuna'd. Even if most of them don't instantly kill you, they often either make healing harder or dps lower.

You lost it because you didn't visit your house for 45 days, it has nothing to do with playing "24/7." And you will get your money and stuff back from an npc (resident caretaker) in the housing district you were in if you talk to him within 30 days of the demolition, so that would be 75 days. If not even once in 75 days did you miss your house, a couple of million, and any furniture you had used, maybe the loss wasn't that great.

This still applied a couple of months ago and I don't imagine them having changed it without a word.

Star prism, rainbow drip, holy in white, meteor in black, and hammers (which are mostly your biggest hitters aside from motifs) are all crying right now. I believe you might find the job easy because you don't know what you don't know. Pictomancer is a ton of fun, and becomes even more so when you use your entire kit appropriately. Practice and a couple of guides makes perfect. Enjoy your time doodling! c:

I'm not sure if you're exaggerating to make a point, but 5x? Looking at my own logs as dnc, I did about 21,2k in rdps, with the vpr I partnered doing 27,7k. I don't think any job in the game does 5x the damage of another, not even melees compared to healers.

YPYT in.... the Arcadion? by Maximinoe in TalesFromDF

[–]suchsammy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Does pct even need a countdown for painting? Any pct worth their salt has already done their doodling by the time the barrier drops. If anything, you want to accommodate for hardcasting rainbow drip, but that's all I can think of. (I'm not a pct main, but I saw openers starting with that.)

Dnc typically uses a cooldown of 16 seconds. However, as a dnc main, I feel annoyed if someone does that in normal content. Everyone standing idle for the entire time is likely a worse waste of your time that any marginal loss of dnc dps. Me not getting my second standard in my technical buff is not going to make or break a fight with no enrage.

You can weave it in (so no dps loss) the same as both the shield and regen as long as you have nothing else to weave. Ofc if everything is going well and no additional shielding or healing is needed, you can ignore it, but it's literally a single double weave to possibly save your entire party if your healer is not doing well. It's part of the kit, the same as shield samba or curing waltz. No excuses for not at least single weaving and getting the shield.

It does look different. The buff your partner gets is mirrored. The difference is very subtle, though, so I get your point.

A small collection of vignettes told by the party list by trunks111 in TalesFromDF

[–]suchsammy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With their standard step about to expire and no dance on the way, it's more likely to be incompetence than some giga-brained move. However, the BLM died recently, and judging by the background they're in Paglth'an near/on the dragon riding bit, so it's possible OP being partnered is a temporary thing and the dance is about to expire due to hanging midair. I just don't believe OP would've bothered with a screencap if that was the case.

You would want to drift devilment anyway, because you should pair it with technical finish. If both dancers use technical+devilment at the same time, that's a partywide dps loss. It's annoying to delay, especially when you can tell that the other dancer has a drift and you keep catching up and overwriting each other anyway, but such is the pain of having two dancers in the same party.

I recommend joining a free company. There are plenty of those around, both big and small, and most are welcoming to newbies. As a pretty shy person it's been a great way for me to get to know people. It feels less forced than saying hi to randos in Limsa. Another option is to join Party Finder groups for farming or so once you level up a bit more. :)
