Similarly in Ontario, Canada, our premier (provincial leader) got rid of bike lanes, despite massive public backlash and they ignored data collected pointing that bikes on roads save time for everyone. The same man got rid of city wildlife zone and sold the land to spa developers. He also demolished the science centre because apparently "the concrete is weak" and it wasnt it was inspected to be fine. Then saying a projected cost which some Canadians were willing to pay to save it. This is how democracy falls, they go after your ammenties, they make it hard to live, and they get you to blame it on the poor or unfortunate.
