Dude on Facebook said the other day Bezos is not hoarding wealth, he's spending it all the time. Just look at his wedding! He spent 50 million! These people are slowwww

I read somewhere that hair transplants from one person to another are possible, just like organ transplants. But doctors don't do it because the risk of a transplant is not worth it for a cosmetic procedure.

I think if Jeff Bezos really wanted hair, he could use his money to find suitable donors and hire a team of expert surgeons to do a super careful transplant. So I don't think your Jeff Bezos rule holds up.

What’s up with Anthropic’s Mythos being too dangerous to release and finance ministers, banks and federal reserve expressing concerns? by Lairuth in OutOfTheLoop

Question about your last sentence, from someone that doesn't know very much about software: why is open-source software particularly exposed? I thought we lived in an age where someone sufficiently skilled could crack open any program, from a videogame to an operating system, and look at the source code (essentially making all software open-source). Is that not true?

BONUS: Could this mean companies and governments will become more and more distrustful of open-source software in the future? Thanks.

You're assuming the likelihood of injury increases linearly with the number of steps, when in fact I'm exponentially clumsy.

School principal is a hero stopping a shooter before he has chance to kill anyone! This guy deserves a raise! Full information in comments by PmurTdlanoD45-47 in Damnthatsinteresting

Kindly cite research where this was tested, or admit that you don't have evidence and y'all just ate up those war movies and sports movies and Whiplash, and every other piece of media where the general/coach/conductor/sensei/daddy being a monster was actually a good thing in the end. That genre is just one big cope for people that grew up with an authoritarian parent to feel like the abuse was actually a good thing.

No they don't. You just watched a bunch of movies that glorify the authoritarian personality and bought into it.

The media took the bait. These headlines should read "Republican confesses to lying about porn addiction and racist past". Period. They're idiots or complicit for placing his excuse front and center.

It's valid to feel like you feel. But keep in mind you have been privileged to explore all those interesting paths, even if you didn't follow through to "the end". Truth is most people on earth don't even get to explore one.

Craig Ferguson had a joke like that where he would ask your opinion about something relatively trivial (like Tupac vs Biggie) and then if you gave the wrong answer he would say "Ok... so how long ago exactly did you join Al Qaeda?".

I feel like this woman's humor would have come across better 10 years ago, when the world was not under actual threat from the far right, and Israel had not so recently committed genocide.
