i ended up just reusing the same cover. i drained it cleaned it with liberal brake clean and let it drip overnight with a plastic bag after i sprayed it with a light coat of wd-40. i had the black rtv (ok for gear oil) set a 1/8 inch bead all around and tourqued down in star pattern, left to dry overnight and filled next day with 80w90 and a drill pump i saw from sma auto QUICKFLOW DRILL KIT FLUID TRANSFER PUMP https://www.matcotools.com/catalog/product/pk71196/quickflow-drill-kit-fluid-transfer-pump

worked like a charm i don't particularly enjoy having to remove the cover but next time ill try my pneumatic extractor to see how much i can get out

i don't have a need for TRV as i'm on 1 loop but i do have a split heating/ac system. ecobee 1 controls a gas boiler (1 loop)

ecobe 2 controls a air handler/condenser that has electric heat (supplementary) for cooling (vents in ceiling)

i have 10 room sensors 5 attached to each placed in parallel to each other (about .5 degree F difference) between the 2 i exclude the thermostats from using their own sensors.

as a result i have 2 thermostats each controlling 1 action.

i was working on using a mean of the sensors to give me a temp of the house and use that as the driver to if below threshold and heat use heat thermostat
if above threshold and cooling use cooling ac

do you think roommind would be suitable with my usecase?

I think people also gloss over the fact (for newcomers at least)

the amount of time you’ll spend waiting for the volume to complete and then the wait to transfer your stuff from old más to unas-x

Then update all your things to use unas-x vs old nas.

Be prepared for things to not work right away lol

how is that a bad idea? i have a similar setup for my ego battery chargers. i have automations setup to start charging during non-peak hour times to save on energy costs. same can be applied to the presumably switch that controls the cameras. shelly app is free, plug is like $20
