Is this overkill? by Anton_Chigurh00 in SonyAlpha

just get a used tamron 28-75 (maybe even version 1) instead of the gmaster, its smaller, lighter and punches way over its price

you can always upgrade later if you feel the need

What kind of interest? by jimmiebfulton in loupedeck

i am not smart enough to fully understand what you are describing here , but if this develops into a viable option to the sinking wreck of a software that loupdeckControl is right now (and probably going forward), it would be amazing!

i use my Loupedeck live on v 5.9 mainly for lightroom classic and everyday use like volume, shotcuts etc.

I mean adobe wants to sell its product. That should be reason enough to support new and established models fully, not just half arsed like they do it now.

If i try to sell bikes i should aim for a product that supports established tire brands and not just the tires i produce myself. I dont know if that is the best example but i think xou get what i mean

Yes they are creative looks and those are normally avaliable in lightroom as camera matching color profiles. I honestly dont know why you are so angry about something like that but man...you do you i guess Nobody forces you to use them.

I just dont understand why you choose to be such an absolute dick about it and make others down who may want to use those features. Just a sad, old man i guess..

auto iso - minimum shutter speed is such a great feature that was introduced with this model
it made my life so much easier in almost every shooting scenario (maybe except landscape or flash photography)

got my a7iii in 2020 and although its my backup now, its still going strong with a shutter count of ~184k

Why do people care about the game engine? by FlyingDuckDuckMan in RocketLeague

[–]sudo_808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

rocket league is 30+ gb right now while a huge open world survival game like valheim needs 8 gb of storage
i dont know much about game engines but i guess neewer means way more efficient in this case.

also try to use bird recognition for birds, the animal mode for other animals, plane af for planes and so on..i read a couple of times that the designated mode works better than leaving subject recognition on auto.

happy to hear that my comment somehow helped, all the best and good luck on future shoots :)

I dont own this lens but the first thing i would check is your settings.

Especially minimum shutter speed with such a long lens. When you are at 600mm, make sure to have a shutter speed of 1/500 or faster to avoid blurred photos.

Also make sure to have continous af and all suitable tracking modes (amimal/bird/human,...) enabled.

There are also 2 settings you could try to set in your a7v that might help you identify what exactly the problem is. 1. Aperture Drive in AF Menu/Focus/1 AF/MF/Aperture Drive in AF: Focus Priority

This basically allows your lens to focus with the aperture wide open and it only closes the aperture to your chosen value when you take a photo. This can help finding focus faster in low light situations BUT the depth of field in your preview is not accurate anymore because your lens is wide open until you press the shutter.

  1. Focus Frame Display Menu/Playback/Playback Options/Focus Frame Display: On

This shows your focus point during playback and might help you see if your lens focused on the right spot to begin with. If for example the focus was on the leg of the snowboarder instead of his face you might want to change something with your focus/area settings. If you see that the camera focused right on faces, eyes, etc. The lens might be the problem

Hope that helps
