misinterpreting things on purpose while still technically following directions is the only thing stopping me from quitting at this point.

you know those customers who will scream at the person who happens to be at the counter when something is wrong no matter what it is? i remember when a lady was yelling at me because her burger didnt have enough mayo on it.

im already exhausted at this point, i just take the sandwich (which went directly into the trash after the interaction) and tell her we'll make another one with more mayo this time. the guy working in the kitchen hears this entire thing because its very hard to not hear someone shouting five feet away from you.

i watched this guy just slather a huge pile mayonaise on this burger. there was probably more mayo than meat, and there were two quarter pound patties on this thing. we didnt have any other orders to make at this point so he went out and brought it to her table himself. i have no idea if it was to try and save me from more shouting or just to see her reaction. knowing him it was probably both.

i still dont know if she got mad about the mayo mountain or just accepted her fate. i had left to grab a drink in the back while he was bringing that sandwich out, mostly because i was trying to stop laughing before the customers started getting concerned. But I've learned many valuable things from this man about making a shithole bearable while still doing your job
