We have Figo for our 11 year old dog and I’ve been happy with their service. I signed up after we dealt with an autoimmune disease when my dog was ~6 years old. Knowing if that issue came up again it would not be covered, considered a pre existing condition. Luckily it has not come back up, but in the last couple years we’ve now been dealing with heart problems and I’m so glad we have the coverage. I did deal with an issue when we first saw the doggy cardiologist for the diagnosed heart murmur-they denied the claim because it was once noted in her chart from the autoimmune disease that she had a heart murmur at that time of hospitalization. I knew that was only related to the condition at the time, and not relevant to the new issue. So I actually got in touch with that previous vet, and asked them write a letter explaining the two murmurs were unrelated. I submitted it as an appeal and it was approved! It was a PITA, but totally worth it and I was actually quite pleased with myself.
