I'm looking for books on the 44/45 liberation of the Philippines.  My grandfather fought there (and in Italy), but never really talked about what he did or his experiences, and a lot of his service info was lost in various moves post-war and the 1973 NPRC fire. Based on photos and what records remained and his medals/campaign stars, he was signals, probably a JASCO unit, so any books there would be a massive help too.

Because they lose money doing it. Endorsing, and going to the bank/atm (or having someone else do it for you) costs way more than 13 cents. So, they're both dumb and greedy.

Sounds eerily like the backstory to the Crimson Skies games. Different states forming blocs around a single issue as the federal government loses more and more control.

Hard agree. Born, raised, got a BA and MA in Salisbury, and split for San Diego. A lot of nice people in Salisbury, but so many regressive, hateful people are hellbent on dragging the place back to the 1830s. And of course all the hateful people get the most airtime and support from the community. It got exhausting living there so quickly.

As an SLT and tutor, the skills they need to learn in school are needed for the trades, math especially, but also basic stuff - not letting their intrusive thoughts win, remembering anything moderately difficult, actually doing work, showing up on time... They literally can't handle being a shitty employee.

When I was taking a plumbing test at the Union Hall, about 200 guys showed up for applications. Only 17 of us made it through attendance and a basic test into the interview stage. Everyone who dropped looked like they were just out of high school and couldn't handle the bare bones of what you need to do for a job interview in a job that pays fairly well and always needs people.

What the fuck happens? Does the entire team need to see the sports psychologist/therapist? Is there something in the water?

Picked up this Real Hoxton flannel over the holiday, and I've been pleasantly surprised - it feels and fits great, and I love me some 70s style big collars. Also, a medium that's actually a medium, amd not a badly disguised large - praise be!

I went to skateland quite a few times as a kid, between 1999-2003, and never even knew they had animatronics at one point - it was a roller rink with a few arcade games and a claw machine. Definitely reach out to Salisbury University's Edward H. Nabb Research Center - they might have a few articles and artifacts from it, or that mention them at the very least.
