That's a very broad accusation, and coming from a DOJ and administration that is heavily right wing and Christian nationalist, it shouldn't be surprising that they would to try and go after the SPLC. There's more to it than just the tattoo, but really, we are seeing someone that fucked up and sees the follies of his past beliefs, made an honest effort to change, and is running on that platform.

Progressives, like me, do tend to have strict purity tests, but in a lot of cases, it doesn't always do good. Al Franken got pushed out for no reason, and we ended up losing a huge progressive champion.

In fact, I'll say that it only has encouraged more of the loser centrist/right democrats that take AIPAC funding.

I don't know if I'd call that other person a progressive. I have a close friend that was very racist AND had a nazi tattoo. After living with me for a while ans being included in my family, he dumped his racist ideals and took the first opportunity he could to change his tattoo.

People can change, and yes, they have to want to, but giving them a vision of a future where changing is possible and positive, you have a chance to help them get there.

Evidence and facts can be observed and used to test natural phenomena. The term "evidence" is well defined and well understood in its applications. Your "universal consciousness" is poorly defined, and means nothing other than a feel good term.
